Gamestop may have leaked one of the September 29th conference announcements. A box-art for a bundle of the game was posted for the upcoming Wii Motion+ exclusive Nintendo title FlingSmash. On it, it says in large font "BONUS: Wii Remote Plus Inside!" The picture shows only a Wiimote, but there is a curved ring of small text below the Wii logo.

Since this game requires Wii Motion+, and the box art does not show the WM+ accessory, it is very likely that the Wii Remote Plus is an official Wiimote with WM+ built-in, much like the recently released third-party Nyko Wand+.

Cool, but I wish motion + was supported more. I mean, Sports Resort is really cool, and Im sure Zelda will be phenomenal, but Nintendos lack of support for the + is terrible.

This sounds great since I don't own a WM+ and as long as it's not too expensive a game, and a controller with WM+ built in sounds fine to me. Since only I play the Wii in the house and I get no visitors/friends visiting works out perfect.

I wonder if the dimensions of the Wii Remote Plus are the same as the normal Wii Remote without the Motion Plus add on.

Fling Smash was looking fun anyway, so this looks good. I'll buy the bundle. Would like a Wii Remote Plus. Presumably these will be available separately. I wonder for how much?

IGN just put out an article on Wii Remote Plus.

http://wii.ign.com/articles/112/1124269p1.html

Confirming a GameStop listing from late last week (http://wii.ign.com/articles/112/1123227p1.html), Nintendo president Satoru Iwata announced at a press briefing in Japan last night the existence of the Wii Remote Plus, a combination of the Wii Remote and Wii MotionPlus peripheral.

"For the convenience of the users, Nintendo is developing Wii Remote Plus, which integrates Wii Remote and Wii MotionPlus," Iwata said. "We will announce the details of this controller on our web sites and through other media at some later date."

As you can see from the slide below, the Wii Remote Plus looks identical to the original controller. We hope to have more details soon.

According to the above, the bundle has been sighted at some Best Buy and Wal-Mart stores, breaking the November 7th street date.

Unless there's a confirmation that someone was able to actually buy the game, they're really not breaking the street date are they?

They just have the game on display. If you can't check out with it, they're not violating the date are they? I mean, from what I understand Best Buy (and presumably Walmart's) POS systems wouldn't allow the game to be sold.

Game has gotten some pretty bad reviews. But for anyone still interested, TRU is offering a $10 gift card with purchase today. If you were in the market for a WiimotePlus, this effectively makes the game "free".

Anyone interested in the Wii Remote Plus by itself, Buy.com is selling them for $34.99 each today, and you get to pick your color.

I don't expect the reviews to be that great. Wii Play really didn't score super amazing reviews either, if I recall.

It's a $10 game bundled with the $40 remote. If I wasn't planning on using up a $10 GameStop coupon and a $25 gift card on it, I'd be more concerned. But a Wii Remote Plus and the game for about $18.50 is cool to me.

Amazon had the white version available at that price too. I'm picking up a controller sans Flingsmash, prefer to keep the $15.

Been a long time since I picked up WiiPlay, looks like a better deal.

I thought this game was getting some great buzz at E3.

The reviews say otherwise. Too bad.

I'll probably pick it up for $10 somewhere down the line.

FlingSmash will be $40 on BlackFriday at Target.

Ended up picking it up last night. Probably crack it open tonight.

The game looks fun, so it's a shame if it isn't. I'll probably pick it up at some point and see if everybody was wrong. But only if it's a a discount. Maybe Target on BF, especially if I can find $60.01 more worth of stuff to buy (also at a good price - I'm not going there and buying anything at full price!), netting a $10 gift card. Then again I'm not crazy about going anywhere on BF....

I played this for about an hour the other day. So far, I can only recommend it if you need a controller.

Finished Kirby tonight. Going to play more of this tomorrow.

Please elaborate. Are the controls broken or is the game just not fun? Compare it to Wii Play if you have both... that game wasn't great, but it had it's moments of fun.

It's just really simple. All you do is flick the controller in a way to break blocks and get points. Repeat that for three to four hours and you're done

Just a heads up for those with a Costco membership: Costco is selling the FlingSmash bundle for $43.79.

Ended up ordering it off GameStop. After the $10 coupon and the $25 e-rewards GC, it was $18.49 shipped. Even if the game sucks, I got a Wii Remote Plus out of it.

what coupon?

The ones from back in like May they offered on random games. I ended up with two of them: one from Wario Land and one from NSMB.

It's not something you just find. It was sorta like Amazon's game credits, although a huge pain in the ass to use. You see discussion about them all over here.
