I remember seeing Mario Bros. & Duck Hunt at that price on EB about three weeks ago. Unless the price was raised afterwards this is not a new mark-down.

Isn't this something like $0.29 in store? No offense to your post or anything.

And if he died he'd be the best corpse EVER.

I think he should get to work on that.

I have a friend, who on occasion would walk into gameshops, check out their stock of NES games, and pickup a title or two that he was denied when he was a child. One time, he walked into the store and saw that the Mario Bros & Duck Hunt pack was the price of a penny each. He was partly upset with that idea. This was one of the finest games of his youth, He loved that game so much, surely it deserved a better faith than this. So he slammed down a dollar bill and demanded every single copy of Mario Bros & Duck Hunt. 56 cents and 1 heavy garbage bag later, my friend had a cause. He would travel across the Tri-State Area, single-handling trying to jack the price back up to a respectable number. He owns several hunderd copies of the game.

I met a guy with a similar story to this at Otakon 2000 (I think...). He was disgusted by the price, a penny I think, so he decided to pick up ever copy from every game. Maybe 6 months later the price was raised to 10 cents or so, proving that the laws of supply and demand can be influenced by 1 person. He had a suit made out of cartridges too, wish I could find the pics....

I dont :)

My nes set came with just mario brothers, back in 86..which i still own :).

I never bothered getting it as i played duckhunt plenty of times.

Since then I managed to obtain a grey and red zapper for my captain N costume :P

This tread brings back memories of Funcoland having bins of NES games and every other game being MB/DH or TMMT. Good cheap fun, when my NES worked.

does he just get bored or something? I mean some of his "deals" are okay but this is just rediculous.

I've got one grey Zapper, and two red ones. They needed a dual-wielding gun game back then. :)

I actually know someone who did the same exact thing (also in the Tri-State area). He bought over 100 copies at both Funcolands in Woodbridge Township at 9 cents each. I wonder how many copies of this game exist... I have 3 myself.

Oh yeah, Norm and his cartridge suit. Norm also looks exactly like Dan from SFA or Donovan from Night Stalkers. Shit, I didn't realize how big his legend was.
