That isn't likely to happen...MS made the big chains all sign contracts with severe penalties for any chain selling the game now and breaking the street release.

However, Meijer stores, and at least one Wal-Mart in Canada don't seem to have many quams about this and have been selling Halo2 since the beginning of the week.

I'm sure some people can try to push their luck on a Best Buy employee, or Circuit City (since CC employees, you can just ask, and in the process, print out a picture of somebody holding Halo 2, ask if they have Halo 2 in store, and they'll hopefully they go to backroom, then perhaps miss the street release date sticker on the game, and head down to a cashier kiosk, and do it there for you instead of going to a cashier in a cash register desk.. good luck. :wink:

If your local BB has them in stock and you have a regular version preorded just buy it now and play it then return your GR copy to BB for a refund on tuesday or whenever. I did this with Staw Wars Battleground when they broke the sale date.

I'd love to get it this weekend but i'm without a car while it's in the shop and i dont really wanna ride the bus up there, only because i have to walk about a mile to get to the bus stop and it's cold outside. It shouldn't be hard to get Halo2. They are printing enough for everyone on release day so I wouldn't worry. Even the Limited Edition should be readily available on release day. But the longer you wait until christmas to pick it up, the harder it may be to find it. Also, I too have a friend that gets sick playing FPS. Have you tried taking a meds for motion sickness before you play.

I've tried taking some over the counter meds, and I read in a medical journal that ginger root helps with motion sickness. The article said that drinking ginger ale would help. So, i went out and bought a bunch of ginger ale, sat down to play Halo and felt like I was gonna barf.

Believe me, motion sickness sucks and most people think i'm nuts because they couldn't understand why it happened.

Anyway, I hope you're right about LE halo 2. If i can find it, i'll just play in short bursts so i don't hurl on my controller! :)

WEll its never too late to preorder... if you preorder at target, they dont have edition specific preorders.... also for your motion sickness, there are some medications you can take that might be over the counter or there are other remedys
