Shadow Hearts is a PS2 RPG that got average review scores. The battle system is similar to The Legend of Dragoon's "timing" system. In SH, there is like a spinning roulette and you need to press the button at the right time, or so.

A sequel is on the way. Developed by Nautilus and published by Aruze.

Shadow Hearts by far, gameplay and graphics are much superior than Dual Hearts.

Dual Hearts, an action-RPG developed by Matrix (Alundra, Landstalker), got above-average review scores. Most action-RPGs share similiar qualities, so think of it as a mix between Alundra, The Legend of Zelda, and Secret of Mana/Evermore.

Btw, Dual Hearts and Shadow Hearts are two completely diff. genres aren't they? I heard Dual Hearts was Zelda-esque. Meh, shows what I know.

I really haven't come across someone who played it and hated it. The only complaint by some players was that they find the graphics to be subpar compared to FFX, which came out a month later.

No to both questions. You can find it in EB/GS for $25 new. $20 is the usual going price these days (eBay/Half). Like RPGs? Try this, I guarantee you won't regret it. And yes, I'm a SH fan myself.
