saw it going for this price at ebgames.com (http://click.linksynergy.com/fs-bin/click?id=FKSJxY2VJAk&offerid=54879.114442949&type=10&subid=) . is this the retail price? and if so, any reasoning for the extra 5 buck?

Tecmo (http://www.tecmoinc.com/store/doau.asp) sells it for $49.99 with the free Kasumi figurine.
Shipping murders you though. Its $8.95 for UPS.
My guess is its like when EB or Gamestop wanted to charge $55 for Halo 2. It'll drop to $50 as the date gets closer.

Well, it is two separate games on two discs, but that's not really an excuse...GTA DP was a rehash set as well and wasn't that price at launch.
Maybe they're finally punishing people for buying DOA games?

Since I already have the Saturn import original DOA and DOA2 for Dreamcast, I'm not in a super rush to get this anyway.

The updated DoA2 looks pretty good, but I'm more in it for the extra stuff. Add in the free Figurine and I'm totally there.

Oh, I know, not saying it doesn't...it just doesn't make it a $45-55 purchase for me.

Doesn't it have online capabilities, where pre-pubescent kids will say stupid things like, "Dude, dude, look at that jiggle. Heheh."? That alone should make you not want to get it.

I'm not too worried about the pre-pubescent kids. I am worried about the number of times the words "cheap", "mother" and assorted profanties will be used.
