There are spoliers, but nothing you have not heard before probably. Page 3 has probably the most funny spoiler ever.

Is EGM the only place who has reviewed it so far? I just got a EGM today, and it has MGS on the cover, saying world exclusive review. I was suprised that they were the first ones. :?

So, when does this come out? I might get it for a friend for Christmas so I can play it, too. :) (haven't gotten a PS2, yet)

I think EGM is the only place that has reviewed it.

I can't buy it next week due to money problems, but will be renting it

Damnit, okay I enjoyed MGS2, and beat the first one (on PS1) many times. However the game is pretty short, and I was wondering if this will be any different and if it's worth picking up the new thin PS2 so I can get this and GTA?

Make sure you read the article. You do not actualy kill Ocelot, but you can. If you do, Roy comes and bitches you out for creating a time paradox, and you get a game over message

The article said it is longer than either Metal Gear game, which is pretty nice. My first playthough of MGS 2 took about 12-13 game hours, so this one being even longer is a bonus.

I end up replaying all MGS games several times, so length is not all that big of an issue. Also, they mentioned that there is a lot more gameplay in between each cutscene, which is really good news.

What did EGM give mgs3?

9, 9.5, 10

Good: Gripping story, breathtaking graphics, tight controls
Bad: Camera problems, some wonky dialogue
Extras: Minigames, downloadable camouflage, and secrets galore

I can't wait for this game. I'm glad I stocked up on Blockbuster credit to pick this title up for 'cheap'...

I wish I had a Gamerush around here. I got several titles I would trade in to get some newer games

Yeah more gameplay between cutscenes would be awesome. However I'll believe it when I see it. Now it's time to decide if I need to buy the PS2

I didn't use Gamerush, I took advantage of the $8 DVD trade-in and a local pawn shop with a bevy of $2 and $3 DVDs...

I have a feeling that the camera is gonna be the worst part of this game, but I can't wait to try out the full game for myself. Just for the confusing and good story I"m sure it will have.

Just read the article, thanks for the link casey.

Find it neat how the game asks you if you are familar with the series or not, and which game you have played.

Not me. I was playing for several hour straight when I reached the inside of Arsenal Gear. After running around naked for what seemed like forever, I was so burned out, I just quit when they told me to. I did that 3 times before someone told me that it was the just the game messing with you :(

Yeah, but how much is "a lot"?

I will not sit through 20 min of story every 30 min of gameplay.

I'm probably gonna end up getting this next week, I have some Wal-Mart credit so it will cost me about $15.
Isn't this supposed to be like 20 hours long or something?

wonky dialogue...heh. There was definitley some of that in MGS2. The review didn't seem to hot on the actual game. I don't know if I will be satisfied with a mediocre game with weird additions like the curing and animal eating. They sound kinda silly. I like the MGS story, but what I want is a good GAME with a story.

And "Time paradox" wow.... thats bizarre.

I probably will be trading in a few titles in the next couple of days to get this. I want it badly and do not think a rental will hold me over
