People people people Think about if they only did 1000 copies of Halo LE think of what it would sell for. 1000 copies of the limited edition is a very small run and collectors will pay that so I say good job nike and people who produce GT4 finally a limited edition that is LIMITED.

I'm waiting for the McDonald's special edition of Halo 2 where master chief orders a big mac. And it will come with a special breath analyzer that plugs into your controller. if you eat a triple quarter pounder with cheese and then breathe into the analyzer, master chief will get a gun that shoots french fries!!!

The sad part is that it will only get worse. As the Industry looks for more ways to cash in we will see tons of special editions. It may even get to the point where it will be rare for a game NOT to have a special edition.

As long as gamers are willing to pay more for a stupid shirt or stickers we will see this crap.

Midway Arcade Treasures 2 was hacked up so they could make a Mortal Kombat SE. They took out MK 1 and put it in the SE to try and make $$

special editions arent out of hand, theyve had things like that in japan since the 16-bit era at least, if not earlier. Everyone just seems to notice them more now that the US occasionally gets SEs as well

I am a sucker for special editions but this is just silly. I don't care for extra paraphenalia, give me extra content a bonus dvd and some special packaging and I am in.
