they've had this deal off and on, the wireless adaptor works great with the 100 mps router by us robotics which can usually be snagged for $50 after rebate, should easily get the the full 54 mps transfer rate

I can attest to this adapter kicking some a**, let alone for $60. I bought this the last time Amazon was selling them for $60. It works flawlessly with my SMC 802.11g setup. Just make sure you have SSID broadcasting enabled. That part kind of blows, but you can just turn on WEP. It's not like a determined hacker can't get your SSID anyway.

I haven't hooked it up to my PS2, but I'm certain it'll work fine. Once it's configured, it's just like any other wireless network hardware.

If you upgrade the firmware of the adapter, it can handle a hidden SSID.

Check it here:

I picked it up when it was $60 last time as well. I have had no issues with it.

I had no luck getting the adaptor to work with my ps2 unfortunately, tried resetting it, I even asked around on gamefaqs and nobody had an answer for me

Thanks for the tip, sniper308. I just upgraded the firmware on my Xbox adapter. I can disable SSID broadcasting again!

I just picked mine up, but does anyone have a good recommendation for a wireless router? I'm lookin at the Microsoft MN 700. Any suggestions?

I'm using the linksys 802.11B and have had no issues, I'd assume the same could be said of the 802.11G version.

For those of you are about to jump on the Live bandwagon, and want wireless as well:
Starter Kit and Wirless Rebate (http://www.xbox.com/en-us/hardware/live-wirelessrebate.htm)

Gets you $30 back. Hell, if you wanted mech assult and an extra headset and your already a sub, still a great deal

Picked this up at my Target on clearance for $55.68. Not the best deal, I know, but it was the last one.

BTW, if I upgrade the firmware like it says in the link above, will it reset all the settings and I'll have to reconnect to my network or does it connect by itself again? I had a bit of a hassle connecting it the first time. Don't want to do it again. Does shutting it off reset everything if I were to move it to my other Xbox?
