I'm trying to decide which game to get, and I only want to get one of them. If you've played the 2004 versions I'd like to know which you think will be better. What's the difference in them gameplay wise and in dynasty mode. Also would you suggest getting it for the Xbox or the PS2. Thanks in advance.

ESPN is closer to the college game. March Madness is an NBA dunk-fest with college jerseys.
Plus, ESPN is $20.

I've been wondering about that, too.
I think GMR or GI has the frist impressions reviews out in the most recent issue. The early nod goes to ESPN. Can't remember the exact points they mentioned, though.
As for PS2 or Xbox, I have a feeling that it's going to be better control vs. slightly better graphics again. I just got my Xbox recently, but had my PS2 for a while, so I am still not too used to the Xbox controllers, especially with games that heavily use the black/white buttons....

I'm definitely looking forward to College Hoops, and for $20($10 if I have enough Coke Codes), it's a great game.

i always go EA. I havent liked a espn or sega sports game since nfl2k1 and nba2k3. After that i think the series took a hit. Im getting live tomorrow anyways for 25 with ggc so ill problaby hold up a little on college.

For basketball (college or pro) ESPN is the way to go. Other than the very good dunk contest in Live, I cannot recommend an EA basketball game over an ESPN. ESPN simply plays more like real basketball. Football is a toss up as they are both pretty good.
Get ESPN College Hoops.

I've still got my coke code but if I remember right you can't redeem the online code on College Hoops for like another month.

espn because its $20 and has all the most important features. Its a sports game, shouldnt be priced above $20 with the annual updates.
and if you want critics--espn is getting consistently higher scores. gamerankings.com

I agree... $20 is plenty to pay for sports games which only show minor updates from year to year.
One of the big shots from EA was pretty cocky when they asked him about ESPN's $20 price tag. He said something to the effect of "They can sell that thing as cheap as they want and include a free ham sandwich and we'll still beat them in sales."........

All ESPN games this year is HOT & it cheap too ;)
for now I LOVE SEGA :)
After reading all the latest blogs, journals and news from employees of EA, I don't see how anyone could bring themselves to give that company money. ;)
The Sega sports games are better anyway.

College Hoops(87%) is getting better scores than March Madness(80%), guess which one's better.
