The guy who killed his pregnant wife on Chrismas Eve 2 years ago. He is from around my local town so its probably bigger news over here, but it has got national attention.

I thought he was walking for sure. I'm so glad they found him guilty although the appeal should be interesting. It is likely to be upheld unless it was impossible for the jury to reach the conclusion they did.

With the shadiness around the juror dismissals over the last week, I definitely thought he'd walk on a technicality or at least have a hung jury. Who goes fishing (1) "By himself or (2) on Christmas Eve? Really? Lame ass alibi, don't you think?

i hope he gets stabbed in prison. prisons in CA dont do that rape stuff, if the inmates find out your either: 1. molester, 2. rapist, 3. baby killer, 4. pedofile, etc etc most likely youll be dead in a year.

You've got the order reversed:

1. Pedofiles
2. Baby (child killer)
3. Rapist/ molester

I've been told lots of inmates have children or nieces and newphews on the outside and so Pedofiles and baby killers are normally the most hated.

Dumb alibi but you need proof to convict and I hope the police presented enough of it, while I really hate killlers going free there have been far to many cases where someone spent 10 years in prison and then got exaunerated for my liking.

I wasn't surprised of the verdict, I was actually part of the jury selection process back in March.

Actually the removal of the 2 jury members that possibly got him convicted, will probably be what gets his appeal. He'll more than likely claim the jurors were dismissed unfairly and he had an unfair trial. If I were a betting man I'd say he's going to get his appeal.

one of the members of the jury is an attorney and a physician. That will come into play once more info is available. A woman that was dismissed it turns out had decided to convict even before deliberations so of course she had to go.
