The Sunday before Black Friday through Wed. TRU will have an ad with some pretty nice deals. Basically all PS2, GC and XB games under $19.99 will be $5 off. So basically a good way to stock up on old classics.

Also all PC software will be $5 off.

====================

Black Friday will feature a GBA SP with a free Cartoon Network bundle. It includes a Cartoon Network GBA Video, Cartoon Network Speedway and GBA Video Headphones. This is for ANY GBASP... no limited selection.

Also there are a few old crappy PS2 games 2 for $15 and some budget GBA games for $9.99.

There is also a PS2 bundle that includes a PS2 and two games. I forgot what they are but GTA San Andreas is one of them and so is THUG 2. But these are choosen. I forgot what the automatic game was but I think the bundle was for $219.99. So Save $30... kinda blah.

I believe one must take THUG 2, and then has the choice between San Andreas or Spider-Man 2.

But the OP is saying that there is one game automatically given with the PS2 (you say it's Spider-Man 2?), and then you're given a choice of either GTA: SA or THUG 2.

So every PC game is 5 bucks off? I bought like 6 of them this past week. Two of them were under 5 bucks. So would that mean they're basically free?
Also, 19.99 and under games of 5 bucks off...some games are only 3-5 dollars, so would those be free?
If all this is true then can I bring in my receipt from 14 days ago and get some money back? Thanks

Actually, I didn't say Spider-Man 2 is the game that is automatically given. According to the Official Black Friday Video Game Deals Thread, "PSTwo Value Pack (Console, Tony Hawk Underground 2, and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas or Spiderman 2) -- $219.97". That is where I got my information.

Nothing too good IMO, thanks though OP.

This has been mentioned before here: http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=37700
sans the PC software will be $5 off.

Ill keep this thread open for the pre-black friday sale discussion, but please keep the BF sale discussion here:

Sorry, I didn't mean to put words in your mouth. I was just making the assumption that if the OP was correct about GTA: SA and THUG 2 being the either/or choices, then Spider-Man 2 -- first mentioned in this thread by you -- must have been the automatic bonus. But I see now that the OP was incorrect about the deal; I didn't catch CheapyD's update until just now.

Do you happen to know what the $9.99 GBA games are?

bingbangboom
11-12-2004, 10:58 PM
The usual suspects ala Namco Muesuem, Pac-Man Collection, now Texas Hold Em and Monster Truck game, some other crappy games too. Well not so much crappy just blah. I mean they are worth the money but $10 for a game you can't expect a whole lot. I remember a couple years ago I bought a few of these cheap games and while they were good I was just afterward thinking why didn't I just buy a really good game for $30?

Ya know... the $5 off thing really isn't half as good as the B2G1F deal...

this is the new PSTwo or the old PS2? if it is the PSTwo than i am in,because i have been looking to get one and my stupid ass little brother scratched up my gta:san andreas by wiping his fingerprint smudges (which i would rather have than scratches) on his shirt.

Yeah it is a new PS2... we no longer get the old model.

guess i better save up my next paycheck for that. might have to get a little help from my mom to get it and just pay her back the next paycheck. damn gamestop for cutting my hours for those new hires.

So are you saying that the 5 dollar off thing is only good for GC XB PS2 and PC games? Meaning I couldn't pick up Perfect Dark for the N64 for free since it's 5 bucks with 5 bucks off? Or maybe a few really cheap Dreamcast games for next to nothing?

Too bad my TRU still has games that have been $19.99 for months selling for as much as full price.

bingbangboom

Jax, they must have not marked down the price because pridedrops are company wide. There are times though that for some reason a game just doesn't drop in price ala Eternal Darkness and when it does it isn't to cheap. Alot of the time just as the cashier or someone for a price check.
