...Furthest thing from funny I've ready today. ;)

Anyways--the Phantom has my interest piqued. If it can deliver Half Life 2, and supports HD (Which it undoubtedly will) I'll be all over it. I won't play without HD though, because the resolution would suck. :p

Here's an article from 1up with tons of info.

You can also get the system Apex Digital is coming out with.. I think it will be cheaper than the Phantom, and you can use your own games instead of having to download them.

Yea I really was not trying to be funny. It just seems that a ton of Xbox titles are available for the PC or are transported PC franchises

Also I read Ivan's article and if they deliver what is promised I will buy one

Infinum strikes me as being untrustworthy. The last press confrence for it sounded like it was being backed by the mob and they hadn't lined up any firm development house support plus the early games (which they comented on vaguely) sound like ports of stuff you can get for the PC right now at like 5 bucks each.

phantom will never work the idea of not owning a solid copy of a game makes me jumpy.
i mean its like downloding your gurl friend ofline and doing weird stuff with her

I don't mind it all that much, if the system is sucessful it will allow you to transfer your games when you upgrade your system

yea I know but I get tired of upgrading my PC to run games and this allows me to save money and I am sure other PC gamers feel very similar

It remains to be seen. Concidering they dont even want you looking inside the system and have taken all sortes of crazy measures to make sure you cant get into it, It seems like they might be a little too revolutionary for some even if they produce a sellable system.

But I suppose we'll see eventually.

The APE seems more enjoyable than this thing. The whole down loading deal dosent interest me much . But overall this seems the direction all of the consoles are heading in the future. It seems only natural for XBOX to head in this direction

Yep, many XB titles are on the PC.
So if you own a PC, why own an XB?

yeah, you won't have to upgrade, but you won't be able to play the games either. If it's non upgradeable, it will just become obsolete. Not that it matters, since tetrinet is the only decent pc games and runs on a pentium 1

the phantom guys are local and stupid.

Has anyone ever heard of S3 Graphics before they read about them in an Apex article? Do they make good videocards?

How can you say all PC games suck? There is so much diversity in the types of games that it shows how stupid you are

please keep your opinion to yourself if you are going to call everything and everyone stupid

S3 has been around for a while. Mostly onboard graphics. Big thumbs down. There are only two companies to actually decide about in PC gaming. nVidia and ATi. Nothing else even comes close.

Hm... it appears Phantom will be using Nvidia? *sighs* they should have gone ATI, as should have Apex.
