expensive, but the thing is solid mahogony. you can hit almost anything and not break it. its the same stuff a baseball bat is made of.

I just recently got a training Katana. If you are looking for a good book for practice, I would reccomend: "Bokken: The Art of the Japanese Sword" It is full of easy to follow pictures and instructions. You can find it at bn.com.

For anyone else reading this, karatedepot.com has some cheap wooden swords. They deliver pretty quick too.

I've never actually ordered from there (I'm only 15), and I'm not sure if they're good, but you can look.

The type of sword you're looking for is called a bokken. You should be able to pick up one cheap in any martial arts supply store. Or do a search on yahoo shopping for bokken; I got a couple cheap ones off there once.

Is there any site that sell a replica katana? Or a real katana but unsharpened? They sell the real unsharpened katana over in Asia, but I don't know if airline allow me to put it in my luggage.
