anyone know a good online site where i can buy a good wooden sword for a reasonable price...?

maybe around the $20 and up price range.

expensive, but the thing is solid mahogony. you can hit almost anything and not break it. its the same stuff a baseball bat is made of.

but my bad. i forgot to add more description.

i mean those wooden sowrds in the shape of a katana. kinda like that one in "the last samurai."

in all honesty, ive never seen a wooden katana, except for kendo sticks. i wouldnt mind finding one either.

darn. my master has one and im planning to purchase one somewhere to finally learn from him. he actually made his long time ago if i remember correctly.

I just recently got a training Katana. If you are looking for a good book for practice, I would reccomend: "Bokken: The Art of the Japanese Sword" It is full of easy to follow pictures and instructions. You can find it at bn.com.

For anyone else reading this, karatedepot.com has some cheap wooden swords. They deliver pretty quick too.

The type of sword you're looking for is called a bokken. You should be able to pick up one cheap in any martial arts supply store. Or do a search on yahoo shopping for bokken; I got a couple cheap ones off there once.

Is there any site that sell a replica katana? Or a real katana but unsharpened? They sell the real unsharpened katana over in Asia, but I don't know if airline allow me to put it in my luggage.
