It isn't on sale, but anyone who really wants this game can get it early at Bestbuy. It isn't scheduled to come out untill Next Tuesday.

They should have spaced the release further out from Halo 2 because I don't think this game is getting the buzz it would have got if it released a few months later

yeah, but at least its multiplatform, so everyone with a PS2 or GC will have a FPS to play after they get back from playing halo 2 at their friends house.
it might even help, besides Timesplitters 2, I havent played a decent FPS on any console but the Xbox (I played a few hours into Killzone and got really bored with it.)

I don't think they are getting it early. They have the old release date in the ad because the ad was made when it was still scheduled to come out this week.

The game is from EA. If we're lucky, it will drop by the time the sequel is about to come out (or it might flop and be $20 a little after release).

Exactly. Low press around a game is bad.
I've heard the multiplayer is horrible and that it usually occurs in two oversized rooms. Don't think this game will be anything special, I doubt it'll score above a 7.. it seems mediocre at best.
I dont like how they're milking the Goldeneye name. The mainstream might think its gonna buy like Goldeneye and buy it regardless.

Delayed until the 24th and Best Buy will not honor the 15 dollar gift card. Talk about great customer service. Assholes.

The last thing I heard about the game 6-7? months ago before halo hype consumed the xbox, was that the game wasnt very good and they were going back to rework most of it

Likely to flop. Reviews are coming in and they're not too good ... i.e. PSM has the world exclusive review in their latest mag. They gave it a 6/10 and said it suffers from some major story/tech issues. Basically, that it's a dud compared to the excellent N64 version we all like to rave about.
