Okay, so.. I totally missed this show the first time.. second time.. hell, any time it came on TV. I'd heard good things. I picked it up for $15 in the Amazon DVD sale.
Friday night, I decided to watch it, figuring it'd be corny. Boy, was I wrong. I ended up staying up until 6AM watching it and have watched at least four hours every night since Friday.. I JUST put in the last disc, it's 8:12AM.. I figure after this disc is done, I'll go pick up Half-Life 2, play it for a while, do a paper, have dinner, then hit the sack. I've been watching this all night.. My god, it's so awesome. Anyone else pick this up and been hooked to it?

I missed the first two seasons as well so I'm currently on a 24 marathon myself. Damn distractions like work and such keeping me from finishing it.

What's the basic .. and I mean MOST BASIC.. plot outline of season two?
Example: Season one.. on the case.. "...as he struggles to prevent the assassination of a presidential candidate, find the traitor within his own organization, and save his kidnapped wife and daughter."
Anything like that for season two and three?
Man.. such a great show.

24 is nothing compared to 60, where each episode is one second out of a minute.

Season 2: Bad guys have a nuke, and are supposedly going to detonate it in LA...in the next 24 hours!
Season 3: Bad guys have a virus, and will release it (yep, in LA, withint 24 hours), if a convicted drug lord is not freed from prison.
Of course it gets much more complicated but that would be giving too much away.
Season 3 comes out in a couple weeks, just in time to promote Season 4 starting in January.

Season 2 - A terrorist group holds a nuclear bomb set to go off today in Los Angeles, and only Jack Bauer can find it.
Season 3 - A drug lord with ties to terrorists is taken down by Jack Bauer, until the drug lord's brother threatens to unleash a deadly virus on LA unless his brother is released.
Season 3 will be released on DVD on December 17th and season 4 begins with a two hour premiere on Sunday, Jan 9th at 8PM EST. Regular airing will begin the next night at it's regularly scheduled time of 9PM on Mondays. I can't wait!
I have a friend that works on the show and he give me a little info about the new season but I did not want too much since I am a fan of the show and did not want to know the surprises.

24 is a great show. Season one was the best, IMO. Season 3 was also pretty good, but season 3 lost me eventually. They just dragged it out too much.

Spoilers for next season are all over the place, if one really wanted to find stuff out it's not that hard. Probably anything he's legally allowed to tell you is at spoilerfix.com or someplace similar.
