I end up walking out with Seinfeld Vol 1 and 2.
I had quite a bit of FYE store credit hoarded so I headed there to pick up Buffy Season 7 which came out today. Anyway, even after that I had something like $200 in store credit so I walked around to see if anything would catch my eye. I go over to the TV DVD section and sure enough they (Seinfeld Vol. 1 and 2) were both sitting there. Not just one copy of each but about 10 copies of each set. I thought for sure that they were just display boxes because it isn't supposed to come out until a week from today. That wasn't the case though, it was the real deal. I didn't get it on sale or anything but I figure I'll save myself a trip (its about 45 minutes to 1 hour drive each way) next week when I was planning on getting it anyway.

TV on DVD is not as cool as I though it would be. I have a bunch of Simpsons sets and some Buffy and Angel but I never watch them. It's almost like I enjoy knowing I could watch them whenever I wanted to more than actually watching them.

WTF! You lucky bastard!
I wish Seinfeld came out this week, cause Boy Meets World S2 is out the same day.

Until I read this post, I didn't even know Boy Meets World was on DVD.

I wish they were more seamless without the opening credits and the ending credits

that would be a sweet option, like continous play where u could patch a whole disk worth of episodes without credits

Yah, i hate it that most sets do that. I especially hate family guy, where you have the damn credits that you have to FF through, cant even skip scenes.

I'm glad they did that on the 2nd and 3rd Happy Tree Friends dvds. When the credits are as long as the episodes it gets to be a real pain to sit though all that.

Oh man , your kidding me. I love TV DVDs, especially for shows with season long storylines like 24, Buffy, and Angel. I don't think I'll sit and watch multiple episodes in a row of Seinfeld like I do with Buffy and Angel but I still think I'll enjoy popping in a DVD to watch an episode if I've got some time to kill.

1%? They can kiss 1% of my ass! - Jerry
Damn there are alot of good Seinfeld quotes. I see about 3 episodes per day at least, so unless they stop airing them I'm going to watch them on TV. I don't mind the credits so much when I can select a certain episode or skip chapters.

I was tempted by the collecter's set with the salt and pepper shaker, but I can't justify the purchase. I don't think there are any episodes from the first two seasons that I could have missed, and while I enjoy the show more often than not, it isn't something I go out of my way to watch.

I love tv DVDs too, but only through Netflix. The only ones I've bought myself were the Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Invader Zim and The Young Ones sets.
