I had Castle Shikigami pre-ordered from them and I actually got it yesterday, I haven't tried it out yet though, I have the DC import so I was waiting for some reviews to decide if I should open my PS2 version or stick with the DC

Castle Shikigami 2 retails everywhere for $10. Well worth it IMO since it's a perfectly faithful translation (unlike XS' previous efforts) excepting the voices.

Well, I just got done putting in about an hour or so with Castle Shikigami 2 and 2 things really struck me.

First off: The game was re-created pretty faithfully, in IMO it plays just like the DC import, which is a very good thing!

Secondly: The translation/Story is real bad, we're talking "All your base are belong to us" bad. It just makes absolutely no sense and I swear the characters just say random things. If I think about it later I may quote some of these translation gems.

Still for 9.99 you really can't go wrong, I don't think many people play SHUMPS for their deep storyline, so the horrible translation is more funny then it is annoying. The game play is top notch and that's what matters most.

The only other game in the series I played was the DC import "Shikigami No Shiro 2" The name is actually Castle Shikigami 2, NOT Mobile Light Force 3. As for the cover art, it has 5 characters on the front with a blueish background and a small XS logo in the bottom right and it says "Castle Shikigami 2" on the top. It looks like XS did a good job on this, translation withstanding, as gameplay is pretty faithful to the DC import.

The game's got everything from the JP version, even TATE mode! Geez, so much skepticism. Well, it's understandable after the disappointing "Mobile Light Force" games and Sol Divide but this one is gold, if you don't mind ridiculous voices and text. And the English voices were forced upon them by SCEA, no surprise, so you can't fault them for that. So stop your worrying and go get the game already. It's just $10 and you'll probably help support more budget but faithfully localized shooters. :D

I saw this a few days ago when doing cheap searchers at eb...but figured i was out of the loop and everyone knew about CS2.


btw I love how the "all your base belong to us" can be used as a benchmark in gaming..

On a sidenote--Im a NA at my local hospita...but have my areas of control split between multiple departments...anyways i found a few printers named "All your base..ec" Just funny how widespread that became.
