just go to www.sirius.com/offer/sternrally and enter in promotion code 263. Select your Sirius system and purchase an annual subscription for $142.25. When prompted, enter in the certificate number HS7436 in the "referral ID" field.
The free system is the Audiovox SIR-PNP2. The offer expires on November 24th, 2004 - so if you want it, get it now.

I saw stern on Letterman and he really did a good job at selling the service. He had me even thinking about it. And now that I see this deal I'm starting to think about it even more.
I just tried to get it, what is the Referral ID I need ?
Edit: it's: HS7436
had to go to stern's web site to get it, all you CAGs can thank me later.
If only I had that kind of money right now...

Meh, not too interested in paying for radio when I don't listen to it that much. Nice combo of switching between stations got the job done when I was driving, and I don't have a car now, so I'm not expecting to listen to the radio that much.

I did not see any EBM or Industrial Stations in their line up, so besides howard I would have no ue for it. Seems like a decent deal.
But check out these bad reviews at Zdnet.

Epinions has more favorable reviews of the unit then Zdnet

No thanks, I hardly ever listen to the radio anyway.
And shouldn't this be moved to other deals?

If it was a year contract, not prepay I would do it, but good deal none the less for those that are more intrested. Thanks.

I might get Sirius when Howard moves. I'd like to check it out though, commercial free music sounds pretty sweet.

Thanks for the scoop. I will have to pass this along my family. I have been using Sirius for about 6 months now and I love it. I listen to it online and while in the car. It is cool to listen to songs that local radio stations do not play since they are not on their "hot hits" list like a cool deep cut hit from Tool or a live version which would not see the time of day in local radio. What is cool too is that is not censored so you get the whole deal...no need to hear that BEEP sound when listening to American Idiot or Closer.
The systems usually run about $99 anyway, so with $43 more you actually are getting about 9 months free.
Thanks again for the info. :)

I love my Sirius radio. I bought the car unit and the boom box so I can take it on the go. I prepaid for a yrs service and it is a good deal. For those who are fans of Eminem, he has his own station Shade 45. You can listen to the NFL and now the NBA. Radio is commercial free w/ no edits. It seems to me that there is something for everybody. Stern is going to lose his mind when he is no longer censored.

i think i am ready to jump on the satellite radio bandwagon but i think it's going to be with xm when they come out with their portable in early December (and that will be despite the absolutely horrific elton john commercial)
