I play a bit of guitar, but I hardly find time for it anymore. I've got a strat and an ibanez ga5tce (shallow body classical style acoustic electric).

I'll be auditioning skin flute players for my new band tomorrow. We are also looking for someone to play meat whistle.

I have a guitar too. Can't play much. I really want to get better but I don't ever find time to practice. Hopefully I can start lessons soon.

I just play my two guitars which are a Fender Stratocaster with a humbucker at the bridge and an acoustic Carlo Robelli. I'm not in any bands..........yet........

I was a violinist/violist throughout high school and college, played in the conservatory orchestra and university orchestra during that time. I also majored in music composition and at one point dreamed about being a film composer. Now I just write music on the side as a hobby.

Actually, I've been playing in bands for 15 years or so -
have an audio engineering degree as well. Currently I'm playing in an all original trio called Only Shallow, and we're preparing to record a cd as well as an ep. We're kind of an indie rock / power pop kind of thing...and I'd be glad to link it up here, but we haven't bothered to create a website yet. I play mutliple instruments but play guitar in the trio , and am somewhat into the tech side of gear and love talking shop. My current gear line up is a Fender Strat with Bill Lawrence pups-> Visual Concepts Jeckyl and Hyde -> Fender Tuner -> Hughes and Kettner Replex -> Marhsall JCM 900. I know there are some other musicians lurking around on these boards. In fact, my first deal here on CAG didn't involve games at all - I bought an MXR-Phase 100 stomp off of someone that had listed it in their trade thread!!

I play guitar and sing in a band. We just got together a month or two ago, so we're just practicing and we don't have a name yet.

I also used to be in this band: www.dstrocks.net

Equipment:
Fender Powerhouse Stratocaster w/ vintage noiseless single-coil pickups
Dean Icon w/ switchable single/humbucker pickups via pull-put
Peavey Classic 100W stereo head
Crate 4x12 cab
Fender Chromatic Tuner
Boss Metal Zone (not used)
Ibanez Fuzzbox (not used)
Digitech RP10 multi-effects processor (used for practice)
Korg Toneworks PX3 Pandora box (used for headphone amp)

I also used to play clarinet and saxophone in school as well as singing in multiple choirs. I can feel my way around a keyboard if need be.

You know, recently I was thinking of posting a topic similar to this but I forgot about it. Great question OP.

I play piano, though it's been really hard to find time to practice lately. I take lessons, not in a band...don't know what I'm going to do yet, not entirely sure if I want to pursue it after school, I know i'd need to practice a hell of a lot more then I have been.

I play piano, violin, and cello well, with cello being my weakest instrument.

Been playing piano since I was very young, about 17 years now.

Can play basic chords on the guitar, nothing serious. My dad has played all his life and is in a band.

Had a brief clarinet 'episode' in 5th grade. Didn't stay with it.

And finally, singing. I love to sing.
