I think your auction may be more fair than the DS one, but I dont see any reason for you to bump it. If for some reason someone on this board wants something for retail price, (excluding shipping) they already know where. They might not be searching for an exact cost auction on a site for deals.
I have about a quarter in my pocket, and a 12 pack of empty beers in the car, so thats an extra 60 cents if you redeem them.

One thing: as a mod and a regular, you should know how people here are going to react to news of someone buying up a given item, be it $5 games or DS consoles or whatever, to resell it for an outrageous price. And, since we are all cheap asses here, anything over the MSRP is considered outrageous. You should have known better than to start the thread because you should know how the community that you are helping to moderate reacts.

I, too, will have to sell my DS...not necessarily because I want to, but because I have to pay to fix something I screwed up. I won't post my auction here because I know it might lead to some flaming because I'll have an auction starting at the price I paid for the DS.

Also, it would make you sound a lot more mature if you didn't immediately try to throw the blame back on to everyone else when you appologize for acting like an ass and throwing your weight as a mod around. Saying "I'm sorry, but you should be sorry too, and I didn't really do anything wrong" is hardly an appology. And, like I said above, despite the fact that you may not have intended it to cause all the flaming that it did, you should have been able to predict it. I know I could have.

Most of us realize that, Stealthy. That's not the issue that most people had with that other thread.
Personally, I could care less if you tried to sell a PSTwo for 500 dollars, and I have a feeling that that mindset was shared by a couple others in that thread.
What was troubling was that you started throwing around your mod status, and intentionally or unintentionally were almost lording it over people, as if to say "See things my way... or else".

Of course, just like always, there will be people just trying to be asses, but that comes with the territory.

As soon as people's minds get in a certain rut, they tend to mull the same things over until the issue is resolved. From this thread, it appears that some people never reached that point before the previous thread was locked.

personaly, I wouldn't have advertised the pstwo on CAG in the first place, (you're not helping anyone get a pstwo cheap and it won't help you get a higher price on your auction) but as for the flaming... why does everyone care so much about other people's business... some of you people probably know drug dealers, but does that mean you call the police to rat them out? Or have you ever heard about someone stealing something? OMFG call the police now! flame those shaq-fuin theifs! (imho, dealing drugs and stealing are a little worse than the resale of items that can be found abundantly with little or no effort whatsoever) if you wouldn't intervene in the fore-mentioned situations then you probably should stay out of trivial matters such as the resale of stuff on ebay... that is imho

I too think it's a bit ridiculous to flame the auction. If you aren't interested, move on down the line. I (and a few others it seems) are still a little concerned about about the "other" discussion that occurred in last night's thread. That's the only reason this thread is still going.

Stealthy, I don't see what's wrong with what you're doing. On Ebay, people pay what they're willing to pay. Hell, I bought 3 copies of World of Warcraft CE and plan to sell 2 on Ebay. Yes, I'm likely to make a profit, but I'm not forcing people to buy it. I don't plan to put a reserve on the auction.
