Yes, its a Japanese version. It won't work in a regular US PS2.

Xenosaga Episode I did pretty poorly and they still made a second chapter - with a completely revamped graphics engine and an entirely new set of character models.

Xenosaga fared far better on these shores so basically the sequel is for us, and yes play-asia is a good import sight.

There are supposed to be 6 parts. XS1 sold below expectations in Japan, but ABOVE expectations in the US, and turned a profit in both territories. They just expected it to sell Final Fantasy numbers over there, and it did not. They thought it would hit 100,000 here, and it made it to 250,000.

As for Play-Asia, I've ordered from them many times before with no problems.

How is it differn't then this version that sells for 64.90? The little Icon near the NTSC is the only difference I see.

Episode I sold something like 400,000-450,000 copies over in Japan, which I think is pretty good for a new series, considering the state of their game industry nowadays. Episode II however has only sold around 250,000 copies so far.

The cheap one is the Asian version, while the other is the Japanese version. The difference between the two? Nothing.

The series itself is supposed to be 6 parts, Xenogears for the PS1 was part 5.unfortunately, XS is a Square property. So when (if) Ch5 comes around, expect it to be different
