"I have decided to leave the CBS Evening News on March 9, 2005," Rather said in a statement. "I have been lucky and blessed over these years to have what is, to me, the best job in the world and to have it at CBS News." This is CBS, Katie Couric is on NBC and the Today show, I doubt she will do the news because frankly you only get the nightly news jobs if you are a true reporter that goes places and reports.

Connie Chung.... hahahahaha.... they should give her the job just so all the late night shows can make more skits about her. :)

I never watch CBS outside of sporting events, but it's good to see him gone anyway.

I have nothing against Dan Rather. Actually, I dont really give a damn about any of the news casters anyways. They are all just talking heads.

IIRC the network said something to the effect of "This is unrelated to the memo scandel."

Uh... yeah. In other news, Nixon is not a crook.
