I got this offer from Dell today and signed up. The first 6 months are $19.95 and if you sign up through Dell, you get a $100 rebate.

Fuck Comcast. Nothing but problems for me for the past six weeks. So bad that I can't even play on live. Connection constantly going up and down more than a french hooker.

My brother signed up yesterday and they are coming out on Friday. Comcast is coming out for me on Saturday. Just sign up through Dell and then call Comcast. Then tell them you signed up through Dell and mention the order number.

When I click on the Check Availabilty Now icon nothing happens. Dell must hate Firefox. :(
Edit: Never mind, I figured it out.
Nothing but Direcway in my area. I can choose between $60 a month or $99 a month.

Anybody know if this works for existing comcast subscribers?
i.e. could I cancel my current cable internet with comcast and then sign up through Dell and get the rebates? I can't find anything that says I can't....

So if I don't have cable television w/comcast, I can sign up for this with no hidden charges?

it says you need to be at least 60 days apart from your last previous subscription to comcast to be qualified for the deal/rebates

i don't want to sound stupid, but can someone explain to me how the $100 rebate works? you send in a $100 rebate right away for a service you pay for $20 a month for 6 months ?

wouldn't that make the whole 6 months of service just cost you $20 total (minus tax)?

I've heard nothing besides bad things about Comcast for internet. They charge more too than other high speed providers.

It will cost me a total of $38 for 6 months, after I lease the modem. I did have to buy a wireless router and adapter card, but after rebates they will run me $25.

Thats nothing... Earlier this year comcast gave me a unbelievable year. (Because i had their digital cable serivce since it was released about 4 or 5 years ago). They sent me a flyer with my statment and said "Valued Comcast Digital TV subscriber join our growing Internet service community with this THANK-YOU offer." They really did thank me. First 3 month of service for free. Than a year for $24.95, and they let me lease the cable modem for $5 for the year. Plus the free self-install kit. Best internet deal ever.
