Here's the entertainment software listings from the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Los Angeles/Orange County (LA), San Jose/Silicon Valley (SJ), and Washington state (WA) Fry's Ad(s). These prices are valid only for the dates listed in the subject line.

The items listed below are as they appear in the Fry's Ads. If an item is listed as "SJ only", for example, it could still be on sale at other locations (i.e. - San Diego, Sacramento, Austin, Houston, NV, AZ, OR, IL, GA), but it only appeared in the SJ ad. We have noticed that the Dallas Morning News and SJ Mercury News often run very similar ads. Also, the Chicago ads are often similar to the Seattle ads. However, since these ads are not available online, I cannot confirm them.

If anyone knows of a website to view any further ads, please let me know.

Unless otherwise indicated, items below are listed in all four (DFW, LA, SJ, and WA) ads.

The items listed below are from the Thanksgiving ad and represent a sample of the sale tomorrow. The main ad will appear tomorrow morning. However, as I will be getting up to go to the store early...I doubt I will be able to update the listings until I get back.

Note: Fry's is closed on Thanksgiving and will reopen at 6 AM Friday for their Black Friday sale.

Wow great 3 for $30 deals. I am so there tomorrow. Quick question to anyone that might know, I know that Fry's PM but would they PM another company on Black Friday?

I know TRU posted a sign at Customer Service that their PM policy is suspended for "doorbusters", and that's the only thing I've seen about PM's during BF.

I have a feeling that most companies toss the PM rules out the window over this weekend.

On the 3 for $30 deal, is it 35 choices from each system or 35 titles total? Will they most likely be alot of PH, PC, and GH games?

The 3 for 30 sounds good. I wonder it's going to be the same games that EB's putting on sale...

Are the deals good for the entire day, or just for a specific time period?

Are the harry potter movies good? I never read the books or watched the movies. However I have heard good things about them, and if I were to start watching the movies this would be the best time to get all 3 for 30 bucks.

Yeah my guess is that most stores will either have a sign stating something similar or will at least tell you that it's their policy not to PM on Black Friday. Don't expect to get any of these deals at other stores, unless you were only saving like 2 bucks or something then you might be able to talk them into it.

I think it's even more crowded if there aren't that many Fry's in your general area.

I wonder what the rest of the 3 for $30/$35 games are like. I think in the ad it says the titles originally cost $19.99.

My guess form their recent 3 for $30/$40 deal is that it will be a total of 35 choices which will be a mix from GCN, PS2, Xbox, and GB. Last time it seemed like they were trying to get rid of all of their games that had recenlty gone PC for GCN and some random Ps2 19.99 games like Dino Stalker, Arc the Lad, Etc.

I thought that the harry potter movies were overrated etc etc crap etc etc etc..lost a bet to my gf and was forced to watch the first two. Made me wanna go see the third and i liked it even more. If it was widescreen instead of fullscreen, i woulda faced a Fry's madness for that alone. I may just do that but im sure my main reason of going to see what 3 for 30 games there will be are gonna get wiped out.

I never really got into harry potter books (only read the 1st one), but I have seen all the movies. They are pretty good, but a bit overrated. I'll get the dvds only if they are widescreen for a present. But those 3 for 30 games, definetly I will chek it out just to see if any of those non greatest hits are among them.

I hope people are not seriously going to Fry's tomorrow at least before 4PM. I tried last year and it was a 25 minute wait just to get in the store since they were over capacity. To save a few bucks it is not worth it plus the deals this year are very weak maybe something else will be in the paper tomorrow.

I just got back. The line was wrapped around the building (and you know how big that building is). I dashed in, got what I came for ($250 Harman/Kardon digital 5.1 receiver, $30 Godfather DVD box set, and Urban Asphalt GT for Nintendo DS), and left.

Don't count on getting what you wanted unless you've already gone before 6:00 am.

Did you get the HK AVR-130? It's listed at $199 for DFW area Fry's. Mighty good deal. I was holding out for the AVR-430, but I guess they don't want to put it on sale. I should have grabbed it a few weeks ago when they had it for $549. I don't think I'll ever go to Fry's again on BF, last year the checkout line was about a 2 hour wait.

I should have known it would be packed....I went in there to look for a graphics card....I just wanted something cheap and stronger than my card....instead, I end up walking out with Half-Life 2....now how the hell did that happen?!

BTW, I don't know about the other stores, but the Manhattan Beach Fry's had Half-Life 2 for $34.99, not $37.99 as advertised.

Yes I did. It was $250 at my IL Fry's. This is my first digital receiver. The last home stereo I bought was 13 years ago. My Xbox has been complaining that it can't find its voice.

I went to Fry's... had no idea of the sale... went for Xenosaga, didn't see it, so I left...
