Surprised no fanboys or assholes have flamed this topic yet.

Where's 'Thou shall not melee your teammate in the back of the head even in jest', or 'Thou shalt desecrate your enemies' corpse by repeatedly crouching inappropriately over it.'

I think those are pretty big ones. Otherwise nice list.

Awesome list man. I especially like commandments 6 and 8. Magilacudy's got some solid ones too. I would like to see "Thou shalt only delay the now loading text once and only once before the game starts."

Good point!
I hate having to restart the game cause someone in the other room was goofing around delaying the game while someone else keeps switching colors only for the game to start and everyone to start yelling!

Anyone else have any good ones....I am going to get Halo 10 Comandments shirts made in the next couple weeks for our place!

I agree with everything but #8, because usually everyone thinks they are the better sniper. There's been numerous times I go to Halo LAN gathering and I catch some BS from somebody about picking up the rifle and them claiming to be the best sniper and they have never even seen me play before.

Also, #5 contridicts 8 because these so-called "best snipers" are usually the ones camping in one or two spots the whole time and disappearing from the radar.

I can see your point cause I have played with plenty of camping snipers, but I am used to my team and we are always on the move due to the "sniper trail"
Still, it makes ya kinda wonder who really gave these commandments to us....could it have really been God or was I sitting up the other night at 3am with, Preacher, my 400lbs halo partner with nothing to do....man I can't remember!

Pistol sniping on Bloodgulch is insanely annoying. It has a near endless clip and can hit from almost anywhere on that map. At least the sniper rifles are limite to 3 clips of 4 rounds. Pistols have over 100 shots. The guy who won the "Halo National Championships" did this the whole time on spawn points. It proves nothing when people abuse this.

Are you crazy? That's the best and possibly only reason to still be playing halo multi.

Oh yeah, I remember that, if you're talking about the one that aired on G4. All he did was sit on the sidelines and kill the ppl engaged in combat with with his pistol. It was really cheap, and get this, he even admitted that's his strategy!

Hehe...I liked that list. Speaking of Halo final thingies, I heard from a friend that they were available for download on this crazy thing called the intra-net. However, after searching for the videos, I couldn't find any. Could anyone give me an address of the videos? They sound kinda cool. Any help would be much appreciated.

I basically quit playing because of the pistol. Games got to the point where in the first five seconds every just switched to a pistol and complete 3 shot carnage issued. You miss a shot and your dead... Love the gun... just the game play became unbalanced... or maybe too balanced... dunno... just stopped being fun and more of who was the most accurate. The tricks in the game kick butt though! I love to just drive around and try to jump out onto things. :D

no mention of Halo 2? Though shall not desire another systems game until the new one is in hand.

I agree with everything except number one. Most of those rules also apply to other multi-player games.

Halo multiplayer was great... until it devolved into shouting matches about the pistol and camping snipers. "You're using the goddamn pistol too much! Quit using the fucking pistol!" "I just respawned, you cock! What the hell is with this spawn sniping, you camping whore?!" Things like this ultimately ruined Halo multiplayer, and, I kid you not, on multiple occasions I've seen people storm away from the game in childish temper tantrums.

Halo is an FPS. It did nothing to progress the evolution of video games. It is only praised because it was the only decent FPS on the XBox at the time. Get over it. It's not that great.

Nothing for the evolution of video games? I'm not entirely sure what that is, ut the game had a couple firsts for consoles, especially in the multiplayer department. Most notibly, it was the first console FPS where you could link up 16 or so people. When something has a first in it does that not advance the evolution of games?

And here I thought I was the only person who thought this. I used to play 4 on 4 Halo games frequently, and they stopped being fun after only a few times. Then again, the guys I used to play with would act like little bitches when they'd loose, so that made it even less fun.

Yeah I heard they are either getting rid of the pistol or severely limiting it in the next game. I am thinking about banning the pistol from all my games to make it more fair. As for spawn killing, that has been a issue in just about every FPS. Whining you just have to tolerate, hell even I whine on occasion. In the end everyone walks out pretty happy, regardless if they won or lost.

We ban the pistol from some of the mulitplayer games we create for a change of pace. I think a lot of the multiplayer experience for Halo, or any game for that matter, is due in large part to the people you game with. If your playing with whiners, people who are arrogant, and people who take it too seriously, you are never gonna have any fun. We used to have matches on the dorm floor and if we knew everyone playing it was very fun, but sometimes a new person who play and they would whine constantly or take it way too seriously and it ruined the experience of the 7 or so other that are playing.

But you gotta realize, Monsta Mack, that happens in about all other online games.

Whenever I kill someone in Halo, I throw a plasma grenade on their ass, out of spite.

People complain about the pistol? WTF? Its like the most frequently used gun in the multiplayer. If people complain about it, they need more practice.

The way to keep the pistol and make it fair is up the health each person has from 100% to 200 or 300%. Makes the person not die from one freaking shotgun blast or 2 pistol shots. It's much more strategic that way.

Yeah our matches got pretty bad when one guy had a sniper rifle and always got most kills while another guy on the same team almost always got you when you spawned. We lightened the games up by renaming ourselves, we had 'the pope,' 'your penis,' 'a leperakaun' (real spelling wouldn't fit) 'pickle pete' and others. Most of the gamees were just laughing at what came up when you killed someone.

Uhh? FYI, they have, though I don't see how this relates to a video game discussion. Perhaps once yours do, you'll stop making penis and testicle reference (teehee, he said penis and testicle! grow up, kids) and actually have a mature debate.

*ahem*

Halo is nothing special.

i was reading XBN about RS:6 3, the new one for the xbox. The .50 cal rifle is gone. at least in multiplayer.

as for the champion, he sucks. i'd like to see him in Halo 2. here's a thought, in a year will we be going to Halo and Halo 2 tourneys, made into one? that would be fun.
