Target has Tales of Symphonia for the GC for only $23.44 starting tomorrow, Friday morning. Sales ends Saturday at 11 pm. Great price for one of the best games on the GameCube, almost $27 off.

Very good deal for a game that I only hear good things about--this is one of the only things I'll be picking up tomorrow. Thanks for the deal!

So this is true. I'm happy now that I didn't buy it at 34.99 when they had it. I'm so picking this up. If they happen to run out of it, would they give rainchecks or no?
Trakan

No there won't be any rainchecks. :(
EDIT: I guess they do!

Now you made sad. :( Hopefully I will be able to get in on this because I don't know how many countless times I have rented it.

The game was worth the 50 bucks i spent on it, IMO no way you can go wrong at this price

no rainchecks? are you sure? i work at target, and i was getting ready to raincheck a bunch of stuff... i think the only things that can't be rainchecked are the ones that say "quantities limited" in the ad. i'll double check though...

Target is a great black friday store . . . all of the prices in their ads are for 2 days (not 6 hours). And you can get rainchecks for most anything.
Last year, I got rainchecks for toys for my kids. And a few DVDs . . . I saw the substitution policy . . . but never thought to use it :-0
You should be able to get a raincheck for Tales . . . if its over 33%, it won't have the substitution policy on it . . . making it harder to use for games.
Trakan

Wow, I didn't think Target would give rainchecks for Black Friday deals. That's great! Sorry for saying they don't before.

Isn't the PS2 version coming out soon with more features?
chubbyninja1319
11-25-2004, 11:27 PM
1. I don't think the PS2 version is coming here.
2. The game is awesome, worth $50. Definitely worth $24.
3. I didn't see this one at Sears. There are a ton of good games there that are not priced accurately. I think i need to go back!

Wow very nice price for this game. Anybody with a Cube that loves RPGs should really jump all over this. IT was worth the 50 I paid.

I always hear great things about this game. I rented it the first week it came out and played for like 30 hours. I don't get what everybody sees in it. I think it's a lackluster RPG on a console starving for RPG's right now. I'd still pick it up for $20 though. I don't think I could justify spending $50 on it like all of these other people aer saying. (Or any game for that matter) :P
So it's confirmed they give rainchecks? I just want the normal raincheck, though I guess the %tage one couldn't hurt either.
Don't expect to get the % off raincheck because they stop giving out those. We learn that from the Wind Waker dea.

This is indeed a great game, possibly the best RPG I've played this generation (just GC and PS2)! Since I refuse to be a part of the mob mentality today, I'll probably roll out there later on tonight or tomorrow and see if there is one copy left, just so I can have a backup! That's how much I like the game, I've only done that for a few other games ever!
Getting such a polished title for 24 bucks and it's an RPG for a console without all that many is probably one of the best BF deals I've seen for games...

Went to Target, and man was that place a fire hazard. Empty carts were literally laying on their sides on the floor, and people would not move to save your soul. Luckily, 5 copies of Tales were left. Picked up a copy, and sped the hell outta there. The game rocks, played it for an hour and a half, and enjoyed every second of it. Anyone else notice that the story seems to borrow heavily on Square's Mana series?

It's only a bit more til I can go to Target.
Hope there are some left, if not, hopefully someone can give me a rain check.

Thanks again NintendoFanGirl. Great deal. I went there and due to all the hustle and bustle and all the people around me, I nearly forgot to pick one up. There were only two left and one the packaging was slightly torn so there I might be still one left but I doubt it. I was thinking of picking up Star Ocean also but decided not to. Overall I must say it was one of my better BF experiences.

I heard it was anything over 33% you can't substitute, the Shellshock 'Nam one was 32% off and I used it to substitute for Donkey Konga, plus I got 3 others :)
Also I picked up this too, really great game. I didn't see this thread before I went and was shocked to see it for so cheap. I remember passing it up for, what was it $34 a while ago?

Actually... you're right, mine does not, but others do. However I can attest that TOS is NOT $9 at sears, at best it was extremly YMMV.

sooo . . . you expect someone to take a loss on sending you a game?
23.44 + 1.00 tax + .75 mailer + 2.30 shipping + 1.00 paypal fee
I'd say its about $28.50 to send you the game. You should at least offer $30.00 (its always best to add at least $5 to cover costs).

Anyone want to send me your receipts or an extra raincheck...please. I lucked out at a Target when the sale was around, and the losers wouldn't giv\ve me the raincheck at the 2 Targets that I went to.
Guess people have a hard time ponying up an extra 5.00 after tax to save themselves time from going back and forth and trying to get one at that price.
