I'm avoiding all forms of merchantile interaction onBlack Friday. I may hit an ATM and a convenience store and that will be all. God I hate the herds of people...yesh.

My dad (I'm 15) is trying to force me to go.. for some reason he is into BF deals for things other than video games. I know, its pretty crazy.

That's what I'm doing, but at 7am with the early bird specials at EB Games.com. I've never gone out on Black Friday, and I don't see myself doing it anytime soon. CAG has shown me that you can get great deals all year long, so I don't need to fight the crowds. I'll stick to the online deals.

Since Target is the only store i'm going to I figure i'll just get my 4 hours of sleep in my clothes , go there, in theory be out by 6:30 at latest since I know what I want, then be back sleeping by 7 after staying up long enough to order from ebgames. Black Fridays generally aren't that bad as long as you show up when the stores open.

Not trying to flame, but you people are insane! I tried the BF last year for the first time, and it was my last time. I'd rather extra money than deal with zombie-like people in mass quanity anyday.

I've thought about getting some dvd deals but I'm not going to do it. BF is such a pain in the ass. Like someone else said, I'll wait for the post-xmas sales to pick up stuff for cheap.

me and my friends went to bestbuy at 1am last year and there were already like 8 people ahead of us. sitting it out this year cuz theres nothing that really seems worth camping for.

I'll be @ Best Buy in 3 hours. I'm not going early. I just want to get there, get home ASAP (aka within like...2 hours) and get to bed so I can wake up in a few more hours to get to work. I just hope none of the black friday rubs off on where I work... fortunately it's a 3-10 shift in a sandwich place.

There was no way I could have stayed up all night. I did get 3 hours of sleep though, which was pretty useless. Now I'm off to Office Depot, OfficeMax and then to Circuit City to browse around and then fall asleep in the DVD aisle.

I got to Best Buy---drove without heat in my car b/c the engine wouldn't even get hot it was so fucking cold.
Saw the huge fucking line. (easily over 300)
Got out of my car and felt how cold it was and how I would have to stand in it for 40 minutes.
Got back in my car.
I'm going to bed now.
Nothing is worth standing in line in that cold for an hour to not even be guaranteed anything AND have to deal with those assholes.

Got out of my car and felt how cold it was and how I would have to stand in it for 40 minutes.

Nothing is worth standing in line in that cold for an hour to not even be guaranteed anything AND have to deal with those assholes.
AGREE'D, which is why I didn't go out this year. I got lucky and managed to snag 24 from BB online and that was really the only thing I wanted.

I almost ran into the same prob..the best buy i went to was one of the smaller rinky dink ones and some lady was positioned 6th in line, and she stood there while her running mates went, grabbed, brought back, after getting up there and seeing what she was doing i raised hell and they made her move all the stuff she was stockpiling towards the front and go to the back till she was done and start all over...she was pissed but ill be damned if i let that slide.

Whoa! 3:30? I'm going to guess most of them camped there, as it's almost inhuman to wake up that early for anything other than a crappy job.

At the BB i work at we had people camping in front of our store at 11:30 PM!!
