Umm...given that it is still in stores for 23, this seems to be quite the ripoff.

Factor taxes + shipping + handling + his time = not a rip off

Factor in taxes + your time < taxes + shipping + handling + his time. Unless you value his time at $5, which personally I don't. If this was 2 weeks from now? Sure. Given that I could drive to Target (all of 3 minutes away, and you can't tell me that a Target isn't too close to you, at least most people couldn't) and buy it, I call rip off.

Funny, I calculated it at close to $2 profit for him. And for people who don't have a Target, this is a good thing. And yes, my Target isn't too close to me.

$23.44* 1.055 (my state tax) + $3 (First Class w/ DC using bubble mailer) = ~ $28.

the nearest target to me is an hour away... and i dont feel like hauling my ass down there so i can save 4 dollars... it will cost me more.... PLUS there is a chance it will be sold out once i get there even if i call since it is so far away. even tho for some this might not be a great deal... IT IS NOT A RIP OFF... thank you stink_pikel for doing this for some CAGers that might not have access to a cheaper one and dont want to pay 50 dollars for it :P

Total Est. Time: 12 minutes Total Est. Distance: 9.47 miles

Mapquest from my suite here in Davis to Woodland, not factoring that I have no car, so the bus would have to do.

Stink, it's a fair price, I would pay that much if I didn't have my brother get one...

Ok, sorry. It just seemed to me that this guy probably went and bought a shitload to hoard and sell. I know he could probably sell them on e-bay for quite a bit more, but still. I guess I am just of the camp that you should buy what you need, but I know there a lot of people here who don't feel that way (cough cough Stealthy cough cough).

And for those who said that their Target was out, did you think of getting a raincheck? You know, so you could actually use it for the original purpose of the raincheck.

I called my local Target yesterday morning and they said that ToS was out of stock. So I decided to go, just to snag the Nirvana box for $27, low and behold they had 5 copies of ToS left. Not even marked on sale, hell the cashier was surprised that it rang up for $23. But anyway, try to get this great game while you can at this price. hell $30 is still a GREAT deal.

People do this all the time. I've helped a couple of people on the trading board buy stuff locally that they didn't have near them. If he hoarded to sell, he could've just sold them on ebay to get a much higher profit margin and not get flamed here.

actually i bought 1 or 2 from each store leaving more than i bought so i didnt hoard.
after tax per one it was 25 and change..4 and change extra for me to package up ,drive to town to mail it, i might break even. Another case of it you think an extra 5.00 over what i paid is a rip off, why bother replying?

Yeah, I realize that. I just am really against people buying more than they need. It is people like that (the ones who go to ebay and such) that ruined the CC sale for me. But again, I am sorry. I was a bit harsh, and I understand that it is still a very reasonable deal.

Don't worry about it. But you shouldn't redirect your anger for missing out the CC sale. I missed out myself, but there's always something else next week. Who knows? This december CC could mark it all down for $2.50 each. And that time you'll be ready. Just sit back and wait for the deals to roll in, instead of thinking of past ones that you've missed.

So is it $23 at target right now? When does it end? Or is it like LPT. I said I would take it for $30 but hold that offer till I check my target out tonight. :)

Im in the camp of buying extras without hoarding, helping pass along deals that alot of people may not be able to get in on.

guys stop with the thread crapping. Who cares where he bought the game from and how much he wants to sell it? Are you going to jump through the internet and attack him for buying a couple of extra copies?

I will not go through and delete all the posts because it is too much work, but if you want to make a new topic for your item tell me Pickle(through PM), and I will delete this one. The new topic will be monitored and be free of thread crapping

I think it's all been settled. Plus I'm sure the people who read this thread will understand the reason behind Stink Pickle's sale. So this thread actually served a purpose.
