I'm going to try to make it to that appearance, even though I live in San Fernando. If any of you miss this appearance, you can try for later in the day: Kojima and Shinkawa are also going to appear at Universal City Walk in the flagship EB Games from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. I'm going to see if I can get some various other things signed like my Art of Metal Gear Solid book or my Policenauts manual.

I would as well. Kojima is just awesome
and at least you do not live in a town where you have two big developers(three if you count the fact that there is an America's Army studio here as well) who fail to really do anything for the release of their games. I would have really liked to have Cliffy B autograph my copy of Unreal Tournament 2004

Man, I just beat MGS3 minutes ago and I would kill for the opportunity to meet him or even just get an autograph. If there is ANYONE kickass enough to get me a spare autograph, I would pay shipping, gas money, pain and suffering, you name it, I'll pay it, lol. Anybody? (gets on hands and knees) Pleeaaassseee! :notworth:

I'm not sure if you guys noticed my post, but if you can't make it during the 11 a.m. Planet X appearance, Kojima and Shinkawa will be at the Universal City Walk EB Games later that day beginning at 6:30 p.m.

I just got back. Their wasn't a LE MGS 3 to giveaway. The free giveaway was a MGS 3 poster signed by Mr. Kojima. I wasd only able to get one thing signed so I choose my copy of MGS for PS1. Around 200 people were their. Now I must head off to Citywalk where he is going to be signing later on tonight.

Glad I got to meet you there at Glendale, chron1c. (I wonder who else from CAG we might've passed by without knowing.) Maybe I'll see you at City Walk tonight, too. If I can't make it, let me know how it is.
To all you out-of-town guys who wanted stuff signed, sorry. There was a strict "one item per person" rule being enforced. I chose the MGS artbook and gave up on the original MGS and Policenauts inserts. I even bought MGS3 there this morning thinking I could get it signed... Plus they wouldn't even give you the special poster unless you chose it as your one item to be autographed.

Wow that sucks they were so strict. It's really too bad since not everyone can make it to such events :(
I wish they would goto more cities.

I just got back from the Universal City Walk appearance. Lots of people there. I don't even know how many. By the time I left City Walk at 9 p.m. there was still a pretty long line of people waiting for their chance to see Kojima and Shinkawa. At least EB freely gave out their special posters to everyone who attended, unlike stingy Gamestop.
EB also enforced a "one item per person" rule but I brought my brother with me this time. I gave him my original MGS insert and I chose the Policenauts insert. Shinkawa didn't work on Policenauts but he signed that item anyway. He pushed it across the table to Kojima and said something in Japanese to the effect of, "Hey, check this out." Kojima took a look, nodded and said, "Policenauts" (in his distinct Japanese accent) as a sign of approval. I gotta say, that was pretty cool.
Oh yeah, a big thanks to chron1c and the other guys I met this morning in Glendale who were kind enough to save me a spot at the front of the line at Universal. I really appreciate it!

Hey man glad to see ya. I had a great time, it was really fun hanging out with you and those guys. It made the wait alot better. That's cool that Mr. Kojima said Policenauts. Overall the day was awesome. One of the best days of my life.
