It said something about getting (extra?) $10 per game for games such as Madden 04, Fifa 04, NFSU2, Urbz, basically every EA game. EA is EB's vendor of the month. I'm pretty sure it said an extra $10, since offering $10 max for some of those makes no sense. I didn't pick up a flier, though.. anyone who can shine more light on this deal is welcome to, I figured it'd be good for those who got the free EA game, or can find Madden 05 for 15 for under.

EDIT:

The deal is, trade in any select PS2, GC, or XBox game (up to 5) and get the trade boosted to $10 when you put them towards the purchase of any new EA game.

that is wierd so what is the deal for any EA game you get 10 bucks if the trade in value is lower than 10?

Either that or an additional $10 to what the normal trade-in is.

Man, I hope so. I doubt it though, there is no way they are giving 10$ for madden 02.

you get $10 per game if they qualify (if they would usually be under that amount)

So you can take old old old old Madden's and get $10 for them?

My roommate works at EB, so I snagged his sales card. Here's what it says.

Trade-in up to 5 select PS2/Xbox/GC games toward the purchase of any EA game $19.99 and up and receive a $10 trade-in credit for each game.

Also PO DVDs are B2G1.

So get this I was in there last weekend.

Two workers one not working and one working..

The guy did the gamecube trade in and traded in the system and 5 games....

THEY EMPLOYEES stacked it and gave another $10 per gamecube game because he bought a EA game.

So in all he got the credit for the cube abd five games on that deal used that credit to buy an EA game and they basically gave him $15 to take teh EA game due to it being 34 or 39.99 for the "cheapest EA game I can find"

I was going to jump in here and let everyone know but the trade in deals they had going ended last sunday and thats the day I saw this happen.

Select is the key word here. Before I go out and buy 5 copies of Madden 2002 can we get a list of what is select and what isn't?

the offer isnt for just ea games, you trade in any 5 ps2/gc/xbox games, but u have to buy an ea game on the same purchase, so the regular exclusion list still applies(that means no madden 2002 trade ins, not even madden 2004), its actually a crappy trade in deal unless u a) planned on getting a cheap ea game, and b) have 5 shitty games u wanna get rid of, not knocking the op tho, thanks for the heads up, its just typical of what eb tries to do to their customers...

I don't get what you're saying. First you say any 5 games, then you say the exclusion list applies. Which is it?

I'm pretty sure the exclusion list is in full effect. I don't see EB being that generous, even if it is Christmas.

Yup and I have been needing a good trade in deal like this to get rid of some real old stuff and doubles. Most of the list is basically anything anyone would trade in. I think they only want recent games like Metroid Prime 2, etc.

This is why I encourage everyone who trades games in regularly to get started on Ebay. You can usually get 75% of new price for your games, sometimes more. That's way better than any chain will give you. I realize Ebay isn't for some people for one reason or another, but at least consider it.
Also thanks to the OP, sorry if I took away from your topic.

Agree completely. I use half.com service because it is a little more straightforward but it is well worth it. The trade-in EB/GStop route is horrible. You can sell for more and buy for less on these sites.

Also, there are many good trading posts if you are interested in getting a new game, including one here at CAG.

I remember back when I bought Otogi for Xbox when it first came out and didn't like. I paid 40 for it, sold it on ebay for 38 bucks. So yes, I do second using ebay.

While shopping at eb yesterday, much to my dismay the 75% off PC games 14.99 and under had disappeared. I asked if there were any other deals. They tried to hype this EA $10 trade in deal. Then, I asked what is excluded, they showed me what POX games were. I then told them that this deal is the most stupid deal I've ever seen and felt insulted then even told me about it. I almost slapped the woman, but kept my composure and left the store.

Or not trade at places that have such horrible requirements. I really do enjoy the trade-in prices Gamecrazy gives. And the way I do it is not trade in if I'm going to lose money. Sometimes you'd be surprised what they'll give you (Tang Tang for GBA: bought for $9 and got $13 from them). This is also why I don't buy from Gamestop (the only other gaming store around here), because their prices are higher and their trade-in quotes are lower.

I felt like slapping a female EB Games employee on Black Friday. She was dressed like she was going to a night club at 6:00 in the morning (or just returning from one). When I asked her if a used copy of Go-Go Hypergrind came with a manual, she looked at me as if I was speaking an alien language :headache: .

I wanted to ask her, "What did the five fingers say to the face?"
