Jason Giambi was always a douchebag, and now he's a douchebag with small testicles.

Good, maybe everyone else on the Yankees will testify and they'll all get fined.

See I look at Barry and just see a guy who got fatter as he got older. No one ever said Cecil Fielder did steroids. He just has a terrible gambling problem that cost him his family and fortune.

Good for him. I've hated him ever since he left Oakland.

Of course, what will be the actual impact of this on his career besides some bad PR? It's not like baseball gives a shit about steroids.

Isn't there supposed to be an interview with the trainer who gave out the steroids on ABC this week?

I'd bet the player's association is pissed off right about now.

Yep, I wasnt surprised when I heard about it. I wonder if they'll take away his MVP title he won a couple of years ago.

I always suspected Giambi might be a steroid user, doesnt really surprise me.

I've hated Giambi ever since the Yankees signed him...He's just a big hype-machine. He's overrated and a shitty first baseman to boot. I'd pay John Olereud to play first base even if Giambi offered to play for free...God, I hate him...Not to mention he's a choke artist and can't hit with runners on base.

Yep, I wasnt surprised when I heard about it. I wonder if they'll take away his MVP title he won a couple of years ago.
In his defense, he only admitted to using them during the 2003 season...Not to mention the fact that MLB has no penalty for anybody who tested positive for steroids as it is.

They probabaly won't, but his reputation is definetly ruined. BTW, has anyone else seen the interview for espn that Giambi did before last season's spring training? He said that he had never done steroids and that he had only lost 4 pounds in the off season. (it looked like he had lost at least 30 pounds)

Baseball needs reform in a big way. Bud Selig is a sham for a Baseball commissioner.

I knew it, and Billy Beane looks like asmart man again. Giambi has a ginormous, monster season and then the A's refuse to sign him and he goes to the yanks. What does he do there? Get tumors (Karmic Retribution!!!), take drugs and get paid millions of Yankee dollars for sitting and doing nothing. Its great, and GO OAKLAND A'S!!!

Maybe Billy Beane should be Baseball Commissioner. Hell, a monkey should be Baseball Commissioner. Anyone but Bud Selig.

Actually that's not true, the article I read in the Sacramento bee today, said that he admitted to using steroids since 2001.

Baseball has always had crappy rules regarding drug testing, etc., and there are plenty of people in the HoF before the scandals came out there were doing other things like using spitters, other substances, etc.

I don't think players should be punished for taking advantage of the crappy baseball policies, such as an asterisk. Ex post facto laws don't exist outside of baseball, so they shouldn't exist in baseball either. They should just do what the NFL does regarding testing, and then you can measure everybody from here on out.

What I find unbelievable is that people think that taking the juice is worse than gambling on the game.

Also, I find funny that people thought they weren't juiced up at the time. It's like they knew they were juiced, but now it's not just rumor it's fact, and now there's a "huge shock" ... please ... everybody knew it was a matter of time, I don't understand the shock factor.

By the way I think at this point they need to do NFL type testing NOW, and not let this just pass. Baseball needs to respond immediately if they want to keep any credibility.

Now everyone knows who truley owns the baseball homerun record.

Roger Maris 61

Mark McGuire 70*
Bonds 72*
Sosa 66*

They need to add the "*" after each like they did to Maris only he did not cheat to get the record.

Maybe they cheated, but I don't believe in ex post facto laws :P

Making up rules about asterisk after the fact and then applying them to things that happened before the rule was in place. If that was the case you could break a law that hasn't even been written yet and then get thrown in jail.

Gotta love Bonds' response..."I unknowingly took them"
This is the same guy who treats his body better than anything else in the world. Are you telling me he is just going to take some drug without asking what it is?
If someone buys me a shot at the bar I ask what it is before I drink it.
