View Full Version : Metal Gear Solid 3, Halo 2 , or Metroid Prime 2?

Really not too sure which game I should get, so I'm asking my fellow cheapasses out there which is my best bet. I've heard great things about all three. Please post what you think I should get and why you liked it so much. Thanks!

If you like playing online, get Halo 2. Otherwise, Metal Gear Solid 3 probably has more to do in game with the unlockable camos and other goodies.

I personally am not a halo fan(even though I have the game). But I recommend greatly the other 2, metroid prime 2 is better than part 1 and everyone says MGS 3 is great (I don't own MGS3) so I would say get both

Depends what you are looking for. For multiplayer obviously Halo 2, but for single player I would go with Metroid Prime 2. I haven't played much of Halo 2 single player but I have played Halo 1 single player. It got very repetitive for me. Many of the levels seemed like I was walking down the same hallway shooting the same 4 enemy types. And besides vehicles that was really all there was to it. Metroid Prime 2 (and 1) seems more varied to me because of all the exploration mixed with action, plus you get so many different abilities.
I have not played MGS3 or 2, so I can't comment

I totally agree with you. I love this game, I cannot wait until it is part of my collection (rented it and beat it twice)

Metroid Prime 2.... Halo 2 was pretty crappy in single player to me, and MGS 3 was just another Metal Gear.

If you have XBL, definitely go with Halo 2. If you don't, either MP2 or MGS3 is a winning bet.
