Fools were asking for it. For $500 you'd get a modded Xbox with HD ugprade, bios isntalled and your choice of 15 games. This wasn't a back room deal, either. They were in the shaqin' window.

This isn't just for selling mods... Its for selling modded systems with pirated software preloaded.

Damn right they were. They maybe, MAYBE could have gotten away with just selling the hardware and knowledge of how to copy games, but the second they put the pirated ISOs on the hard drive for sale they were hosing themselves.

Wow, I wonder how long they were up selling that crap before the crack down? About as blatant as you can get.

They may not have actually arrested them. But modding the hardware is illegal, without question. Any method of reverse-engineering that can be used towards copyright infringement is illegal in the DMCA.

HAHA, I've been to the Virginia store as it isn't too far away from where I live (~30 minutes). Crappy store and I'm not surprised they got caught. If you live in the area, go to Starland instead, just up the road in Annandale.

What would make it even more funny is if they were trying to sell these in the mall that's just down the street from the FBI.

if a store in my town was doing that.... i'd totally tell the cops and then hang out in that store everyday with a video camera waiting for the sting..

lmfao that would be funny...

not sure if i would actually do that or not since we've only got one game store in our town and i dont wanna screw myself over
