What does it smell like, a gamer's sweaty hands? Or the cream that soothes Nintendo-thumb-syndrome?

Yeah but with this you can pretend you are Captain N and pause the entire world when the shit hits the fan. Or you never know when an Eggplant Wizard is gunna try to turn you into an Eggplant man and you need to press "up" really fast so you can leap into the air with a rediculous sound effect.

So I click the link and I see the Check local store availability.

I type in my zip thinking yeah I should pick this up it would surely piss the wife off. Its only available as a preorder.

I cant imagine going into Gamestop and preordering this. That would be great.

Agreed that the belt buckle may seem like a bit much.

BUT...

If you saw a fine looking chick, and then noticed that SHE had the belt buckle... well, she'd suddenly be about 10X hotter. Admit it! Or am I just weird like that?

I saw a girl yesterday at the arcades playing DDR (I don't like the game, but its okay) and she was wearing the Megaman shirt that says "I beat all 8 bosses" Too bad I had to go see Dawn of the Dead or I would have actually talked to her.

I would imagine that all this NES merchandise is ramping up for the big NES 20th Anniversary next year.

I can't imagine what kinds of stuff they'll have by the time it actually gets here.

I'm hoping for special NES-design versions of the SP and Gamecube. I'd buy those in a heartbeat.

Or perhaps a special GC bonus disc with 20 of the best NES games along with an introspective, interviews, and early pictures of the NES and various promotional items.

I really love the NES. You know, I had the Atari 2600 and 7800, and when I think back to those now I think about how crappy they were. When I think back to the NES, I think about how awesome it was and still is if gameplay is your thing.

I bought the air freshener and the keychain.
For me, it wasn't a question of if I was going to get them, but how many I was going to get.

I only got one of each.

Are you reading this, the future Mrs. CheapyD?
Only 1 of each! :)

We can't afford not to have them!

I was wondering why not make Hot Topic an affiliate. They give us military 10% discount, how about getting some of that. I mean the game related clothing and accesories are there and definitely cool like the SMB wheel cover. http://www.hottopic.com/store/searchSKU.asp?LS=0&DOIT=YES&SSTR=nintendo

OH CRAP I TOTALLY HAD THAT IDEA TWO WEEKS AGO AND I NEED A BELT TO PUT MY OLD CONTROLLER ON!

WHAT A COINCIDENCE!

holy moly, i really am in the process of doing this exact thing. What do you guys think would be better? making it so that if I pulled the controller, and the belt opens up, or if i made it so you pressed the a and b buttons to unlock a clip, like a seatbelt buckle?

Captain N rules bigtime

and would an snes one work as well too? cause I took the wires out of both already, and I am debating whether to buy two belts.

I like the key chains, the controller & the mushroom are cool. The belt buckle is over the top though. Mrs. CheapyD I bet the Miss Mrs. CheapyD saw these things her eyes rolled so hard they almost fell out.

Yeah, If I found a girl wearing one for sure it's hot points +10.

I can't wait for all the anivesry shwag to start comming out.

I'd be all over the air freshener but I already have the Mario fuzzy dice.

I'm sporting the keychain right now. :D

I got a sick pac man steering wheel cover but the damn thing wouldn't fit my car's steering wheel! :x Are '81 Volvo's just weird like that? Bah. And I got a Mario antenna topper, but it fell off in a storm/got stolen (not sure which).

So, as I mentioned above, I ordered the air freshener and the keychain.

On Saturday morning at 8:30AM, I am awoken by a phone call from CitiBank Fraud Protection.
Apparently, Gamestop charges $1 to your card on pre-order items to make sure the card is valid.

Citibank wanted to make sure I authorized the charges because apparently people who commit CC fraud like to buy $1 worth of gas, or something like that (I was half-asleep).

In the future, I hope Citibank saves their 8:30 Saturday morning phone calls for potential fraud cases over $1.

Yeah why pay for that at $1.80 a gallon in Michigan youd probably get more by shaking the pump nozzle and thats free.

This topic is so... so... sad. Sad in a cute, sadly adorable way.

Guess one reason I *don't* wear gaming clothing? Dropped it all and started getting the ladies. The hot, non-gaming womyn. The ones you guys don't get. I haven't worn a T-Shirt in years.

Toss out your old wardrobe, glasses, non-styled hair and lack of confidence. You can do it. Come join the dark side; it's great over here.

The key is to get the woman first, then go for the dorky gaming clothing after you know she's not going anywhere.

Not quite. When you buy gas at most places (The big chains like Shell, Mobil, etc anyway), no matter how much gas you buy, the initial charge to your account will show $1 (Pending).

And as far as getting the girl, then sporting the geek wear goes, that is exactly right =) Now that my gf is hooked I can order the belt buckle and not worry about it.

Actually I always wore what I want, and I had no problem at all. I did use a lot of gel though, but I still wore my glasses and...wait a minute...I never wore anything like that. Oh nevermind...I guess you're right lol

I just figured out that I started dressing with gaming and anime stuff after I joined the Marine Corps. So CheapyD was right and so are you EmperorDahc...man was I a horn dog in school...ah memories, nothing like hum....uhm *whistles innocently*

Its actually really funny that someone brought up the idea of game-related apparel scaring off girls.

First off, check THIS out:

http://www.hottopic.com/store/product.asp?LS=0&ITEM=211791&RN=172

I got this about a month and a half ago, and not only did it score me MAJOR points w/my (now) girlfriend, but I've gotten TONS of comments like "that is the coolest watch EVER!" from various other attractive gals.

Maybe I'm just lucky? 8)

Not exactly the highest quality products, but the key chain is pretty cool (and by cool i mean dorky).

I got the keychain today also, and after a whole 1/2 day of using it it's already in its first stages of decomposition. It's a foam rubber POS that looks nothing like the picture. I recommend that you DON'T buy this, I'm tempted to send it back but I don't really want to hassle over 5.00....which is way overcharging for this foam garbage.

Save 5.00 and buy a one week trial to a porn site or something, because you'll get more useage out of your buck, and that's not saying much. :x
