I'm thinking of beefing up my Saturn collection. Currently, I have about 20 games, and around half of them are either considered mediocre titles or are available on other systems. Anybody want to list some of the must own saturn exclusives? I have Nights with the 3d controller and Fighter's Megamix already. I'm looking to get Guardian Heroes and Panzer Dragoon Saga at some point in the future, just need to get some money and start feeling frivelous.
Your thoughts?

ahhh yes the saturn!
another late classic sega system.
i personally would recommend just about any capcom 2d fighter as they were almost perfect if not perfect arcade translations.
This is coming from a fan of fighting games.

The three Panzers, Dragon Force, Nights (with 3d controller), Clockwork Knight 2, Super Bust a Move 2 (I dunno why, but I played the hell out of this game on Saturn), Saturn Bomberman are a few.
Actually... I feel like playing Panzer Saga again now that I think of it.

If you want to include imports, Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight is way up there, along with X-Men vs. Street Fighter and Shoujo Kakumei Utena (okay, so maybe that last one only reflects my personal bias towards the wonderful anime series).

Shining Force 3
Dragon Force
Guardian Heroes
Nights
Panzer Dragoon Saga
The first two Panzer Dragoon Games
Radiant Silvergun (Import---but amazing)
The list will probably cost around $500 though which is sad. Even more sad is the fact that I once owned every game on the list and now have only 2.

I HAD a Saturn. Never was impressed. $400 of total Garbage imo. Anyway, there were two games eventually that got me to pull it out of the closet and play it once or twice.

Yeah, top priorities for now are Guardian Heroes and Panzer Dragoon Saga. Maybe Saturn Bomberman at some point, as well as Dragon Force. Radiant Silvergun when I hit the lotto!
The only import I own for the Saturn is Fire Pro Wrestling: 6 Man Scramble, which I'd put on a must own list. Possibly the best wrestling game I've ever played.
Is Die Hard Arcade really any good? Is it a port of the arcade beat-em up? Might pick it up on the cheap.
Edit: Upon closer inspection, Die Hard is indeed a port of the arcade game. Which I liked. So I'll pick it up. :)

there was this helicopter game I played called black fire really cool game with aliens! also there is x-men children of the atom and fighters megamix(i think that is the name, you can choose a panda in it)(better than Tekken)
Blazing heroes is a very good rpg.
Virtual Hydlyde reminds me of lord of the rings and castlevania put together. The first boss is a vampire while one of the later bosses is a dragon. You go to cemetaries, gardens full of poisonous plants, dark caves, mazes, castles and under ground levels what a great game. The game is very confusing but it is such a good game that no one has heard of. One thing though, make sure your sega saturn has it's battery working because it's a long game.

Which never came out in the US. They were one of the main reasons I bought my Saturn in the first place (I think there was a picture of Tower of Doom on the system box, was there not?). :x

A device like the ST Key (or any of the 4-in-one/5-in-one converters) plugs into the cartridge slot and allows for easy import play.

Advanced Dungeons and Dragons Collection
It was incredibly overrated. I bought a copy from the dreaded BuyRite games for $50 several years ago. It was nothing any better than King Arthur and the Knights of the Round (SNES). It had a blocking scheme kind of like the old game Trojan and branching paths which are named in japanese. I later found a rom in English that I could play on my computer that made it a little more fun, but it still wasn't a great game and definitely not worth the $140 that my auction of it went for. It was the only game I've ever sold on Ebay. Ironically, I got a thank you letter from the buyer.
