Which gift is better-help me decide

Can you guys help me decide which gift to give. It's between a new hard drive (either 160 or 200 gb) or one of the photo printers. He recently got a digital camera and so I thought being able to print out pictures would be nice, though he doesn't really seem like the type who has a lot of photos. But anyway, what would you guys rather have?

EDIT: I don't really know NFG, personally, I wish I had a digital camera!

200gb hard drive is definetly a cool gift, especially if he doesnt seem like hes going to be printing off a lot of pictures, although those digital camera printers are cool, my girlfriend has one and loves it.

My little sister has a digital camera and she prints out pictures all the time. She saves them to a CDRW and takes them to a Walgreens and prints them out there. There's some rule that if you order 20 bucks or more worth of prints, you suddenly save 40% automatically. So it goes from 20 to 12 instantly.

That said, it's MUCH cheaper to print them that way, and I must say the quality is astounding. She has a 3.2 MP camera and the pictures are almost indistinguishable from real prints.

If you didn't make the 40% cutoff, it's roughly 29 cents a pic. But after the cut off, it's about 18 cents. A printer, which has a set number of prints that can be made, is roughly 50 cents a picture, factoring in cost of paper and cartridges. And that's not including the cost of the printer itself.

That said, I'd go with the HD if it's needed. Otherwise, maybe a cheap iPod or something like that, and he could use it as a digital photo album. I hate to make suggestions myself, but it's an idea.

That's one really lucky guy =P. I say if he stores a lot on the computer go with the harddrive, if he's a photo fantatic like saving pictures so he can store them in the album or something. Myself.. I'd definately go with the 200 harddrive, even in a guy's thought I'd say the harddrive. Unless..he already has a pretty nice amount of gig.

Yeah, either one is good. I want a Photo Printer also, since it is much more convienent to print at home, although there are some good sites out there that are relatively affordable for digital prints.

A HD is always nice, if he needs the room

The printer is definitely a cooler gift - presumably he already has a hard drive so there will be nothing to play around with on gift giving day if you go with the hard drive. I'd rather have a printer.
