with screen. At my local sears they are only $40, but aren't marked so I don't think they will get bought, and I am thinking it might get cheaper. Should I bite on that deal?

Thanks,
Halo

PSTwo is not that much bigger, and it can play PS2 games which a PSOne cannot

DO IT!!! It's great if you're traveling and you want to get in a little bit of game time. I'm sure we've all got a few PS1 games that need to be played. I still have 24 left. I guess now I'll have to go by Sears tomorrow. If it has the screen that makes it worth it.

But a PsTwo is $110 more AND doesn't come with a screen.

Oh sorry, I didn't see you said it came with a screen. Definatly pick one of these up for $40, even if you decide you don't want it, they fetch about $80-$100 on ebay.

buy it
I got mine rigged up when the screens were $35 at TRU
they still are i guess.
Anyway i have a lot of ps1 games that are of the arcade style and it's great to just pop it out at a friends and just get a quick Puzzle Fighter match. Or just think how many shooters have been released for that thing!!
And....
there are hundreds of games for sale right now at EB that not 1 in 10 give a sh*t about.

Don't buy a PS1 and use an emulator instead with a nice monitor :)

I have a PS1, but the emulator makes the games look sharp. Too bad not all the games work though :(

All the more reason to actually buy a PSOne.

Personally I'd rather get a PSTwo, unfortunatly I bought a PSOne monitor in anticipation of getting one and now I cant seem to find a PSOne to go with it and the monitor wont fit a PSTwo...

If you can get a PSOne w/the 5" LCD screen for $40 I would definitely be interested in one. PM me if you can pick one up for me and we'll talk payment and shipping. Thanks.

I picked one up at TRU a couple of weeks ago, and it still makes me giddy. It's so small, and the screen is unbelievable. Plus, if you buy some cables/adapters at Radio Shack, you can hook almost anything to the screen.
If you ask me, it's $40 you'll never regret spending.

I guess it depends... if you have a class that you can play it in or in the car or something. In my case I'm always doing the driving, and don't really have any classes that I can sit and play games in anymore. In fact I think I'm done with my lecture courses at this point, plus I never played games in classes anyway... there's much better things to do, anyhow I digress. In my case I prefer the ps2, but if you never owned a ps1 and didn't play all the great square games primarily for it, then you owe it to yourself to buy this.
