Fox News Channel Signs Zell Miller
Georgia's outgoing Senator Zell Miller, who butted heads with MSNBC's Chris Matthews during the Republican National Convention, has been signed by Fox News Channel as a regular contributor. A news release from FNC said only that Miller will be seen on a variety of programs staring Jan. 6. Today's (Wednesday) Washington Post quoted FNC program director Kevin Magee as saying, "We will plug him in wherever we can use him."

The only important part of that sentence is 'calls himself a Democrat'. Because of that, Fox will be able to boast that they present both the Republican and Democratic points of view, thereby making them Fair and Balanced (tm).

As MrBadExample said, Fox only presents the far right and the extreme far right, and Zell will represent the far right. The fun part will be that they'll still go out of their way to make him look like an insane left-wing loonie.

First of all...who said the dems were a party of complete tolerance. We are moreso than the GOP but for our own ideas. We don't have to take everyone who calls themselves a democrat.

Secondly, it is not that he doesn't hold extreme left wing views (are there any other left wing views to you... :roll: ), it is that he freaking endorsed the other party for president and spoke at their convention. It's not rocket science, scrub.

For him to challenge people to duels would need him to meet people to disagree that Bush is a god-like figure of mythical power and goodness, and lets face it, he's not going to meet anyone like that on Fox. Still, it WOULD be pretty sweet.

McCain isn't close to being a RINO. See Arlen Specter, Olympia Snow, Jim Jeffords (Now an Independent.) and Lincoln Chaffee if you want a more accurate portrayal of RINO's.

BTW, I still voted for Specter in the general election.

I wasn't claiming that McCain wasn't solidly right-wing. I was offering him up as an example of a Republican that other Republicans like to attack for not being far enough to the right. PAD offered better examples such as Arlen Specter.
