I guess I'm basically asking if it's worth it to spend an extra $165 for an extra 4 GB of ram and a extra 250 GB on the hard drive?

It'll be used for hard core Photoshop and quite a bit of Gaming:Diablo 3,Battlefield 3,Skyrim,Guild Wars 2,Wow,AoE,Tera,Star Wars mmo,LoL,Allods,Elder Scrolls mmo when it comes out,random shit that catches my eye on steam,random indie games I run across,and I'm sure a few more that I forgot to mention.

The 250gb GB in space really isn't a big deal. Most people don't use nearly that much space. And if you are hardcore Photoshop, you likely have external HDs anyways (even then, 750gb wouldnt be nearly enough for a heavy PS user) so internal space is kind've moot. It takes quite a bit of installed games to fill up 500gb.

8GB should be perfectly fine, but;

You could get 16gb of quality memory cheaper. Changing memory doesn't void warranty and is really easy to do.

(usually I would recommend maybe putting the extra $100 into a Samsung 120g SSD, you'd see huge improvements, more than an extra 4gb RAM, but you may run into space issues. 240gb Samsung SSD is about 190ish now.)

For gaming the cheaper one is more than enough, but if your photoshop is hardcore, then the extra would likely be very useful

Thanks for your input guys. I've honestly never thought about an external hard drive. The hard core PS use just recently started with school,so I wasn't really sure about the memory. The only thing I'm wondering about is one review for the cheaper laptop said that it was hard to replace the ram because they put it in a hard to reach spot,and that it's a cl11 instead of a cl9 (I have no idea what that means,but I'm guessing it's a bad thing?) So I'm not sure how upgrading the ram will be,considering I've never done an DIY upgrade for any pc...ever.

Also,neither of the laptops say anything about turbo boost. I know it was basically standard last gen,so should I assume these pcs have it as well?
