No he shouldn't be asking that question here (not a good sign!). Yes, it is an integer. :(

Yes it is.

No I don't think it is an integer actually.

Oops it is. Damn intranet.

Yes, zero is an integer.

integer: any of the natural numbers, the negatives of these numbers, or zero

It is an integer. I had to look it up. I graduated from college and haven't used anything but basic math since. Forgot a lot of what I learned. Good luck on the SAT's.

Man, I could've sworn it was just a whole number, not an integer. My bad.

when you learn group theory and the like, zero is an integer. if you have a gorup of integers under the addition operation, zero functions as the identity.

however if your group operation is multiplication, zero is always taken out (since any integer multiplied by zero is always zero).

I have to take abstract algebra at school... Im majoring in math...

zero is not a whole number

whole number - any of the set of nonnegative integers

Yes it is - zero is a nonnegative integer. You must be thinking of the set of counting numbers, which consists of all positive integers (not zero).

Proven wrong

thank you, i was thinking counting

thats what i get for opening my big mouth
