Ok....I picked up XMEN Legends from GameRush, and I started getting into it. I didn't have the manual with it, but it was not too tought to figure out.
This game is sweet though....I'm usually not a fan of hack and slash THAT much, but I've been drawn into this game.
So, how long is the game about? I'm at the part where Allison/Magma decides to join the XMEN.
Also, what are the BEST X-MEN to use in your party? I usually pick Wolverine for the close punch and kick, but who are the best 4-some?

I like Wolverine, Jean Grey, Storm and Cyclops. The other three have great ranged attacks.
You still have a little while to go. I thought it was an above average RPG.

The first time I played with my brother, It took me 25 hours but the second time took like 12 because I knew what to do.

I love xmen legends, by far one of my favorite games ever.
I liked using wolverine (for his healing and strength), Storm and cyclops (for their combo points *get a lot of leadership points* and awesome ranged attacks), and i liked using colossus (cause hes basically a walking tank)

i took 20 hours going thru with a friend, quite fun, but navigating the mansion is not a two player activity.
i liked all the characters except jubilee and they all work well together- at certain points you will need a specific power- iceman usually works, sometimes storm/jean grey
bulking up iceman is cool, as is teleporting around with nightcrawler (and dropping a buddy off in a random place) or throwing wolverine

I don't know why but I just couldn't get into this game. I liked it at first but it seemed to get really repetitive. I tried really hard to like it because I'm such a comic fan but I just didn't feel like it was worth playing anymore. I'm not saying it sucked but it just wasn't for me.
This is a great game.
One of the best combos I've found is Colossus, Jean Grey, Cyclops, and Wolverine. You can also substitue Rouge for Colossus.
I'd say its about 20 hours, give or take. The ending is badass and definitely sets up a sequel nicely.
Here's a tip - Cyclops and his ranged optic blast mutant attacks make quick work of most bosses.

Woah - You can throw Wolverine? Explain how!
I dig the game. I havent finished it yet (about 3/4ths the way through). I usually go with the powerhouse quadfecta of Wolverine, Storm, Iceman, and Cyclops. Jean Grey is a ton of fun to play in battles - picking up people and throwing them through walls. Beast is worthless, as is Jubilee.

I know for a fact you can do it with Colossus. You basically throw him just like you would a bad guy. But aim him at an enemy and he leaps at them with his claws out.

That rocks! Thanks for the heads up.

Cool, thanks for all the replies...this game is fun. Some parts started to annoy me, but still fun. Looks like I have a while to go yet.....probably a good 10-15 hours. I'm at the part where you meet Colossus. I think I'm almost done with that level.

Same here. I also thought it was a little buggy. There are areas where you can jump on trees and gain access to certain parts of the level where you're not really supposed to yet and just other little quirks in the game that make it feel unpolished to me.
A good game, but it just didn't tickle my fancy.

Yeah, I kinda feel the same way...however, now I want to beat it. Part of me feels the repetition, but then the other part of me wants to have completion....
I've done that with a few games, beat them just to beat them.
