Okay, so, like, I enjoyed RE1, and the ending left me drooling because here's chick with a shotgun and the city is in ruin's and she's all ready to kick all sorts of ass and rumors were flying that Jill was coming in and woooo, the sequel would kick ass.

Well,...

*spoilers*

That sucked. I found myself almost literally sleeping through the first part. The second part picked up a bit. Turns out the virus was some sort of conspiracy or something. Either Jill or Alice was taping the whole thing in case they got out. Nemesis is revealed. It's also revealed that Alice is genetically modified with the T-Virus to make her some super soldier or something and Nemesis is her husband or whatever the other dude was. Nemesis and Alice are forced to fight when the owner of Umbrella shoots this one guy who was "really important" to umbrella. The guy's daughter was on crutches and he's the one who came up with the "t-virus" and the red queen in the first one was modeled after guy's daughter. So Alice and Nemesis fight and mid-way through the fight after Nemesis gets impaled she realizes who he is and blah blah blah, Nemesis turns, the owner died, Nemesis dies, the explosion from the nuclear missle that decked the whole city knocks the plane out of the sky and kills Alice. It then cuts to Alice in a tank and she wakes up. She says "My name is Alice.. and I remember everything", kicks the ass of everyone in there, walks outside, and is picked up by Jill, Chris Oliveria, and another guy who joined the crew who was originally a comic-relief citizen, the same guy as Craig's cousin in Next Friday, if that gives you an idea. Anyways, they're all leaving, and the guy says "Program Alice activate" and the Umbrella logo flashes in her eye and they take off. Cut to credits.

Sub-par sequel. They could've taken it multiple places, yet they make Alice be a program, have her die in a crash, then reborn as a nemesis-like program with normal human functions. I hope they don't make a third, because this one really killed my interest in the movie series. *sigh*

I didn't even like the first one.

I thought it was ok, I liked both. All I did was pretend the games didn't exist and that helped me enjoy it. And there will be a third I think is called RE: Afterlife. The guy that produced or directed it or whatever makes some pretty bad movies such as AVP. That could have been a good movie. Oh well what can you do.

I thought RE1/RE2 were below-average movies, mostly produced for "the masses". The writing was horrible and really hurt both of them. I enjoyed RE2 more than RE1, but neither was satisfying from the standpoint of a moviegoer or RE fan. However, Milla Jovovich was nice to look at.

it was one of those movies that was pretty good in the theaters, but not at home.

Ultraviolent

Plot: Set in the late 21st century, a subculture of humans have emerged who have been modified genetically by a vampire-like disease (Hemophagia)

I hated the second one myself. Sure, there were some nice action scenes, in the church especially, but the plot was terrible, and the Nemisis ended up looking like a freking wuss. It should have been so much better, with all those people trapped inside a town, and zombies on the rise, but instead they opted for 10 seconds of that, and then an hour and a half of all action ended in a lame confrontation between Nemisis and the chick. Gahh, it has nothing on the games.

A better line was "***** please my shit's customized"

Both lines brought the movie down. I smirked at the customized line, but the other lines sucked. I wish he would've gotten shot in the head or something. He got to be extremely annoying.

They also overused the F word in this one. I wonder why.

It really was more Capcoms fault than anything else that the RE movies sucked. They wouldn't allow the movies to be directly based off the games which was a bad choice.

RE2 blowed. It was nice and all watching the chick reenact the scene from Code Veronica, and the nemisis was bad ass (even though he walked like a old person at walmart). I really didn't like it, but the GTA quote was classic. When i first heard about it my gamer persona was all hyped to see what the mansion would look like and what not, then when I saw it was saying to myself "what the fuck is this?", the gamer presona left the theather and the movie persona kicked and it he said "wow, this is pretty lame", the ending th RE1 kept me wondering "Hmm shotgun, ruined city, half naked girl the 2nd one might not follow the game but hey it might be a good movie" a year later and I was disappointed yet again..and when RE3 comes out i'll be let down again... :? (all this was an opinion, if you think the movie was the best thing since sliced bread thats freakin great for you, but it wont change mine, thanks in advanced)

I thought the first one sucked but I loved the second one. Action sequences were a lot better and people actually died this time by getting eaten by zombies! Cant wait to get the dvd next week.
