Perhaps you should check yourself and realize that the PSX wasn't exactly cheap either when it came out at $300. :roll:
Not to mention you had to flip the system upsidedown in order to get the system working properly after a while. Not the quality construction I expect when I shell out 3 Bills.
At least the Saturn had better reliability than Sony when it 1st came out.

Some people don't know this, but if you complete the stage with Sonic (a real pain in the butt, since you have to do all your crystal collecting by foot) you get to fight a new boss....Doctor Robotnik (modeled after one of the bosses in the real Nights game).

Guardian Heroes is utterly brilliant. Pity it costs so much to buy these days, otherwise I'd have a copy. I had it when I lived in England, and it's much cheaper to get there, so I'll probably re-buy it when I move back there next year. :)

Did anyone here ever play Iron Storm on the Saturn.

It is still my favorite game of all time. I must have played that game for a few hundred hours and every few years Ill pull it out and play it for another 40 or 50 hours.

In my opinion, the best World War II turn based strategy game ever made.

Im so pissed that Iron Storm 2 was never translated into English by either Working Designs or by Sega. I would still pay $200 for a translated copy of that game today. I would have learned Japanese to play it, but im too lazy.

I managed to aqcuire a copy of Christmas Nights, I haven't really played it much, the one time I did it seemed to take forever to load and it just didn't seem much different then the regular version of Nights I had just beaten (not that that's a bad thing, I was just expecting something a little different) maybe I'll boot up my copy X-mas eve and mess with it a bit.

Well, the world changes depending on when you play it. Play it during the summer, it looks normal, but it slowly morphs into all out christmas as you get closer to Dec 25th. Add in all the neat presents you can get, the fact you can play as Reela, and unlock what i think was the first controllable polygonal Sonic...it really is the nicest thing any company has done for its fans.

I love my Saturn. Internal battery still has my save on it from last year.
There are some excellent games mentioned in this thread.
Touring Car, Guardian Heroes, Iron Storm...quality stuff.
