I wanna get my friend Resident Evil Code Veronica as a late x-mas present and I don't know which version is better. He has a PS2 and a Dreamcast, so those are the 2 options, no Gamecube please.

PS2, Veronica X is an update of the dreamcast version. That's the one to go with.

I got the GameCube one because it was on sale at CC during the $5 sale. Because you can't get him the GCN one, get the PS2 version. I own all 3, and I like them in this order

GameCube>PS2>Dreamcast

Here is the quality of all version, from best to worst

DC RE:CV Complex - only in Japan
GC RE:CVX
PS2 RE:CVX
DC RE:CV - the one in US

The PS2 over the DC because of the extra stuff.

eh, personally, I'd go with the Dreamcast version and a Wesker's Report DVD.

yea PS2 version has smoother graphics plus more extras since RE CV X wasn't avaible in US for the Dreamcast.

I have it both for PS2 and GCN (only because I picked it up for $5 at last summer's CC sale) and they are both good but since you can't get the GCn, I'd recommend the PS2 version.

Sounds like the overwhelming majority say go for the ps2 version, so that I'll do, thanks a lot!

I have both, I like the DC version better just for the VMU Support and Weskers Report that I got with it when I preordered it. The PS2 version has extra content. Either way doesn't mater.

Get the PS2 version over the DreamCast one, as the PS2 version has some slightly updated visuals and such.

I saw the PS2 version (Greatest Hits) at TRU for 5.98 yesterday. It had a red clearance sticker.

i am going to go out on a limb and suggest the ps2 version as well. for all the reasons and one extra one.

b/c i said so. theres hows that for a different reason.

edit: yes that is sarcasm at the end. but yeah the ps2 is the update version. how about be an extraordinary friend and get both versions and let him decide and keep the other version for yourself.

Could someone explain why they prefer the GC version to the PS2 one?
For future reference.

My TRU had Resident Evil CVX for $3.50. I got it for free with the $10 off any two games under $19.99 coupon :)
