its a fun but sort of hard game. I got it over at Blockbuster CD only for 9.99 .. I played it for around 3 hours till i got bored with it. I must be doing something wrong cause i was winning easy with a 300 hp motor but when i jack it up to 500 hp my car is sliding all over the freaking place. .. I thought it was a nice buy for 10 dont know if i would give 17

OK I received my PSO Ep III for GC today from Gamefly. It looks practically brand new, except without the wrapper. The disc is scratch-free, as if nobody had ever touched it. The manual and case and all the included paper and cards are in brand new condition. Just to let you know to get some worries off your chest. :)

These are pretty good deals, hope they stay that way.
As for the whole account thing, you basically sign up without checking the free trial box, and when you buy something, the first item will be charged shipping. A couple hours later though, they correct it and take the shipping cost off [you can go to Billing History to see if they do that]. At least they SHOULD do that, if they don't... dunno, guess you're screwed.

I heard Thief and Four Swords are pretty good. SRS I hear isn't that great, but $9.99 would be hard to say no to.

Sudeki is quite decent, I got it at 40 two months back, and enjoyed it a lot. at 8 bucks its a steal I believe, because I was only dissatisfied by it being as short as it was. I was thinking of grabbing one or two more games- but decided to hold off. I need to beat a few games in this week before RE4's release, because as soon as that drops I wont put time into anything else.

Mint cases, mint manuals, a couple of the discs have minor scratches, but otherwise, very nice. It's sad their raising prices on the games-- I got all of mine for 8 dollars a pop, (Breakdown, Manhunt, Helsing) I suppose their getting a lot of traffic however from this site and a few others around- perhaps we're buying too much?

TDM was never printed without the drum, so it makes perfect sense that it includes the drum. But both LifeLine and TC:CZ were printed with and without their respective accessories; and since you say that CZ doesn't include the GunCon, how can you be sure that you're getting the headset with LifeLine? Have you actually corresponded with someone from GameFly?

I only ask because I may order it as well if it really does include the headset. :wink:

TDM was never printed without the drum, so it makes perfect sense that it includes the drum. But both LifeLine and TC:CZ were printed with and without their respective accessories; and since you say that CZ doesn't include the GunCon, how can you be sure that you're getting the headset with LifeLine? Have you actually corresponded with someone from GameFly?

I only ask because I may order it as well if it really does include the headset. :wink:

if it makes any difference i emailed gamefly about a similar topic.... i asked if mario party six came with the mic when i rented and/or if i bought... they said it doesn tcome with the rental, but it DOES come with the purchase

The controls are very difficult to get a grasp of, but It's old school to the max. Considering ATLUS published it, and It's been a game that has been ready for years but never came out from lack of a publisher, I think It's worth $7.99 for the novelty alone, just don't expect to beat it anytime soon. Yes, just a gamefly rental membership is all thats required for the discount.
Its not a flat percentage, but $1-$5 off is the norm.
If you sign up for the free trial, you will not get the discount until your free trial ends, and your pay service begins. You can get the discount immediately if you pre-pay the first two months.
I recommend that you read the GameFly post on the front page and decide if you think its worth it.

And yes, all Gamefly orders come with full packaging, in fact all the packaging is mint because they only send it out when someone buys the game (if you rent things from them, they only send you the discs/carts). And I'm 95% sure that cables or anything else that came with the game will be included, since all they do is take out the discs for renting them and then put the discs back in the case when they sell them. Technically, the only thing that wouldn't be exactly like buying a new copy is the disc itself.

Comes in the cheap packaging with bubble wrap on the inside, and they pay $1.75 for S&H, and i guess the rest covers the packaging. The games itself come in unused (they only ship out the disc, as posted on this thread for rentals) casing and booklets. The disc itself can vary, but everyones reported that their games work fine, and most are in mint condition or with light scratchs.

Whoa, Gamefly did not win brownie points with me.. Rallisport Challenge 2, 007EoN, Outlaw Golf 2, and FSW were fine.. but Manhunt's disc was not secured in and was literally hanging out of the case when I pulled it out (it was okay, though).. and Red Dead Revolver's CD was also sliding around in the case.. I think i'll forgive them, since no damage was done and they were so cheap..

Got my 5 games in the mail today (Manhunt, Everything or Nothing, Sudeki, Red Dead Revolver, Full Spectrum Warrior). Overall very satisfied. All the discs loaded fine (just checked that they loaded up, didn't actually play any) and all but one of the manuals were in perfect shape. The one that wasn't (Red Dead Revolver) had like a dark scuff mark on the front, but relatively minor really.

Scorch - My Manhunt was also loose in the case (loaded fine and doesn't look scratched) and Everything Or Nothing's case's holder seemed funky - like it's nearly broken. Maybe they have trained gorillas shucking and reloading the games into the cases? :lol:

Based on the condition I'll probably order a few additional games before Jan 9th. Galleon, Psi Ops, and Hitman Contracts are possibilities.

They really should come up with a shopping cart feature so they can combine their shipping (saving themselves some cash and making customers happy once they lift the free shipping promotion)

Does Netflix sell used up DVDs? If not they should, smart service on Gamefly's part.

The mailman in my neighborhood folded my friends OPM to fit in the mailbox a couple of years ago, though he also folded the demo disc, too. It looked like a taco, and it really pissed him off. Just to add to the wave of "I got my games" posts, my shipment came in today as well. Sudeki, NFL Street, Full Spectrum Warrior, Ghosthunter, and Champions of Norrath. All in excellent condition. Some very, very minor scratches on one or two of them, but nothing worth mentioning. I consider myself extremely anal when it comes to disk quality with used games, and these all pass my inspections easily.

Thinking about ordering some more, tho it's not like I need anything else. ;)

Heres my order...I really haven't bought any games for about a month now, so I don't feel too bad. Now, getting around to playing them is the hard part. Every day I have a fight with myself as to whether I want to stay up an extra hour and either play a game or watch a dvd...if I decide to stay up, I than continue the next hour fighting myself trying to decide if I'm going to play a game or watch a dvd....once I pick which to do, I then fight myself for an hour on which I want to watch/play. Thus far it reminds me a lot of Contra as well. You know, things being so hard at certain parts of the game that you're about ready to pull your hair out. Then you think, "Hey, what if I shot my last few bullets into that one guy, hide behind the pillar from the onslaught of SMG fire, wait for one to come up, bash him in the face with the back of my left fist, uppercut him with my right, and then crack his sternum by stomping him on the ground--After Making fun of his Mom, I'll grab his gun, and rain lead terror on his friends". You execute, and it works beautifully, right down to that wonderful *CRACK*!

Breakdown is a steal at 8 bucks, pick it up if you haven't already.

Really? Wow, I thought the story was great, especially for a first-person action game (come to think of it...has ANY first-person action game, shooter or not, had a decent story?). But yeah, I thought it was a great and underrated game, I paid $20 for it and felt it's worth more than what I paid. I guess I'm really into those niche games that get totally ignored, Kingdom Under Fire is another game I thought was spectacular but it gets almost no attention...

I actually ended up e-mailing Gamefly about my other products that have yet to arrive, asking them if they were shipped (I got confirmation on the 28th) but their FAQ says to wait 10 business days (aka no Sundays) before doing such, so I probably should have waited a good four or five days before doing this.

I just thought it was odd that I received Driv3r before receiving any of my other games, when I ordered Driv3r several days after my other orders.

Just got my MMAC fot PS2. The case and instruction manual look as though the shrinkwrap was just removed, and the disc has a couple of light scratches, but is otherwise mint. Awesome company.

i had the chance to inspect my games more and all, but 3 of the games are scratched all over...playable, but still not the quality i expected from gamefly...i didnt notice much at first, but when i held them up to the light its very noticeable and scratched all over...i'm guesing people who got their shipments later, got the lesser quality games w/ more scratches on them...would gamefly let me exchange some of them for a better copy? thanks

if i knew some of the games would be scratched , i cuould've gotten a new copy for the same price at the TRU deal last week...with that $10 coupon i could've gotten a new mvp 2004 for the same price as the used one

i just received my 2 games and 1 of them has a grip of small scratches (i don't care), but the other game has 2 small pieces chipped off of the edge! whoever rented this one is one must have been using it as a frisbee lol! ah well, it plays fine so imma keep it since it was a good price :)

I got my copy of Driv3R (xbox) and Ghosthunter (ps2) both in mint condition. Ghosthunter had no scratches at all and Driv3r had some very, very, very minor scratches but nothing to complain about. Very satified with my purchase and would use gamefly again to purchase games.
