i just received my 2 games and 1 of them has a grip of small scratches (i don't care), but the other game has 2 small pieces chipped off of the edge! whoever rented this one is one must have been using it as a frisbee lol! ah well, it plays fine so imma keep it since it was a good price :)

maybe when the deal started they sent out all the really Perfect copies and as supply has gotten lower they are sending the less then perfect copies.

I broke down and bought breakdown (heh) and Sudeki. I don't understand why people are complaining about scratches. If the game plays fine, who cares? I think maybe complaining about scratches on a used game that you KNOW you got a good deal on is being a bit too picky. If you want a perfectly flawless copy spend more money and buy it brand new.

Just got my Manhunt game. It was loose in the case and seems a bit scuffed on the bottom, but it doesn't look *too* bad. But is it normal for it to take about 5 seconds to go from the Xbox logo screen to the black screen? Or is that because it's a bit scratched? Otherwise the case and everything is in great condition. Decent game for the price, I like the way it uses the Xbox Communicator even though it's a single-player game (and it makes perfect sense in the game's context as well).

I just bought Breakdown and ToS. I hate you guys :(

personally i think NFSU2 is the better way to go. SRS isnt that good to be honest. Gameplay in NFSU2 is amazing. SRS is kind of bland.

I got 2 of my orders today Manhunt and FSW.

The condition of Manhunt I would rate a 9/10. Box and Booklet are excellent disc for the most part is mint except for a few minor fingerprints.

FSW condition I would rate a 6.5/10. Book and Box are mint but the game has scratches. Not a lot but there are some I would say around 15 surface scratches and about 4 large fingerprints.

No, it wasn't mine. I had just lifted the game out of the case, and it was stuck on the back side of the game. It pissed me off at the time, but I'm over it now. :)

To comment on a few games that have been asked about:

PSO3 is an awesome game. Very well done, I was unsure of them taking PSO in the card battle direction, but I'll be trusting Sonic Team from now on. One of my favorites from the year.

On the other hand, that Macfarlane game is easily one of the WORST of the year. No redeaming qualities whatsoever, avoid it like the plague.

I got around to trying out Ghosthunter last night, and it's somewhere in the middle. Not really what I was expecting - it's not a Silent Hill-type game, it's more of a shooter. Not bad, but not blowing me away so far either.

I wouldn't mind the minor scuffmarks on my Manhunt disc, except the game seems to take a few seconds to start up after the Xbox logo screen, and I'm not sure if my loading times are normal or not (usually around 6-8 seconds each level). The ps2 version is the superior version because it is the only one that has online play. Xbox version doesn't have it. And it supports dialup I believe.

I have the PS2 version, and online play is broadband-only. It's more of a modest extra than a full-fledged feature in this game, though (I don't see many online, if at all), so you may want the Xbox version. It's your call.

You sure it's the discs or is it your xbox? If you have an old xbox with a thompson drive and discs look to be in good condition, then it's probably your xbox.

Check your drive, if it's a thompson, also you said this is the 4th disc? Were all the others xbox games?If so I'd bet dollars to donuts it's the xbox. This is also assuming the discs look to be in good shape. If they are scratched to hell, then it could easily be the discs.

My old thompson xbox started doing this right out of the blue too, it started with a brand new nfl 2k5 disc.

Oh yeah, Otogi 2...that's another game I've been wanting to get for cheap (really liked the first one, and the second sounds even better). Ordered Hitman Contracts as well. Hopefully Gamefly will keep getting games in at nice prices like this. I kinda doubt it, but I certainly hope so.

Only major tempting thing there now is The Suffering, but with Psi-Ops and Hitman Contracts on the way as well as all the other X-Box games I need to get around to playing I think I'll resist.

However, while playing Full Spectrum Warrior I noticed It's rather difficult to input commands, like simply hitting the A button in options I feel I have to forcevily push in the button. Is FSW rbutton senstitve or what, or is it just my copy? No other games on the XBox are this difficult.

You're probably right. I think I may have read some topics like these a while back: http://boards.ign.com/Manhunt/b6856/57091497/?11 That was complaining about how the Xbox version doesn't have widescreen support.

And to answer my own question I can't find any differences between the two versions mentioned anywhere. Even graphically the Xbox and PS2 version are said to be identical.

The XBox version seems more grainy than the PS2 version, which actually helps out with the graphics. Gives it a better feel to the game.

Having owned both versions at one time or another, I'd choose the XBox. The controls aren't as easy to master as the PS2 version, but the saving and loading is lightning fast. The grainy feel helps the overall creepy feeling of the game, and the XBL headset is supported.. so i'd go with the XBox version.

I would imagine that the PS2 version would support any headset. Use it. It makes the game ten times creepier. If you have any friends over, don't tell them about the mic.. I had a friend over yesterday who was interested in the game and I made the mistake of telling her.. i'd be about to come up behind a guy, and she'd go "HEY I'M RIGHT HERE!!!" really loud into the mic and get me killed :(

I'd try to run and she'd start going "I'M HERE! COME AND GET ME!" then make blowing noises into the mic that would alert everyone :(

whats eveyone's experience returning games to gamefly...i jsut called cust. sevice and was told i am responsible for shipping if the envelope was open...thats at least $1.99 per game and getting a new bubble envelope to ship in..so at least an addiitonal $3 spent...i was planning to return 4 games:ESPN and MVP due scratches, but [playable, Sudeki won't load because dirty or damaged disc even affter cleaning it, and Bond:EoN they sent me the PS2 version instead of the xbox version...now i'll probably return just bond and sudeki, since spending at least $3 shipping on a $10 or less game is too much...i had a good experience with gameflu before when renting, but ive been disappointed this time..its not my fault they sent the wrong game and another wont work..they sould at least offer a shipping label to return

Ordered 5 games the day after Christmas and received them all today.

These games are absolutely immaculate. My copy of Manhunt has a small hairline scratch towards the edge, but it should play fine. I've gotten much worse from EB. The cases and manuals are pristine. I thought for a second the discs came loose inside the case during shipment, but it turned out it was a little Gamefly insert they put in each case. Too funny.

It only took me about 12-20 hours to play with it and beat the single player mode. I set up this time frame because I took a couple of hours to play the multiplayer with some of my family.

Yeah, something under 10 hours for me sounds right. I think I beat it in 4 days playing about 2 hours a day. Didn't seem as short as Max Payne 2, but it was pretty short.

You can play again in Bounty Hunter mode (same missions with special harder goals), or play again and try to get all Excellent ratings I guess, but that's not my bag.

I didn't mind the length as it was fun, and now I'm done with it and can eBay it for probably twice what I paid.

Went to Full Spectrum Warrior next, which based on the reviews is another fairly short one (10-15 hours) On mission 4 I think.

Red Dead was pretty fun, although it had some cheap/annoying parts that are there I suppose to make the game feel bigger/longer.

The multiplayer/bot arena modes were much less fun than I thought they would be and the showdown mode outside of the context of the game is not really worth replaying.

Basically they tried to force replay value into the game and it just doesnt fit. Its a very Max Payne kinda feel to it, and now I understand why Max Payne stuck w/ single player

I've read through most of this thread, but I still have a question about the PS2 Game "Life Line." People say that it came with the headset only if you purchase it, and I'm wondering if it's still like that? I mean, there are versions of the game that include and don't include it, so is it pure luck whether or not you get the one with it, or is it a sure thing that you will?

Yeah, I make a habit of asking them if things are included with the game. For example, Taiko Drum Master, the Keep It price of that is 50 dollars, which is a lot, except for the fact that once you "Keep It" they'll send everything else, including the drum set thing. So, like I said, make sure and ask them. Time Crisis: Crisis Zone doesn't come with a GunCon if you buy it from them, but Life Line did, which I found odd, but oh well. Never hurts to ask! :D

TDM was never printed without the drum, so it makes perfect sense that it includes the drum. But both LifeLine and TC:CZ were printed with and without their respective accessories; and since you say that CZ doesn't include the GunCon, how can you be sure that you're getting the headset with LifeLine? Have you actually corresponded with someone from GameFly?

I only ask because I may order it as well if it really does include the headset. :wink:

By no means the best game in the world... but exceptionally pretty and tons of fun if you like Shinobi/Nightshade..... has an Otogi-like twist of its own. Will not dissapoint.

I broke down and ordered Bond:EoN lastnight around 11PM. The other three games I ordered came in excellent shape (Hitman:Contracts, Rainbow Six: BA and Riddick). I'm pretty obsessive when it comes to the condition of the games in my collection and I'm glad there is somewhere I can get good used games that don't look like they were owned by wild animals.

I received my copy of Breakdown today. It was shipped on 12/30/04. Oh well, late is better than never. The case is broken on the top and bottom. Looks like it got crushed somehow. The game and manual are in good shape. Thats all that matter just switch out the case and I'm good to go. Just waiting on one more game.

Dang... I only got 30$ worth of games but they were definately worth it...

Psi Ops - Great Condition, few scratches, box and manual mint.
Transformers - Great condition, few scratches, again, box and manual mint.
Driv3r - Found a few small scratches, cleaning the disc got most off with ease (don't ask me how, it was just magic). Once again, box and manual were mint....

So I'd say I'm pretty damn satisfied with this order. Definately worth my 30$ and would gladly order from Gamefly again. Wasn't too satisfied with shipping, but for 30$ I really can't complain.

Congress passed a law a long time ago saying that there could be no tax on the internet. This had traditionally been understood to mean the internet itself could not be taxed (such as roads are taxed via tolls, etc.). Used to be that most sites wouldn't charge you tax unless they had a local B&amp;M store, thus the online sale would be equivalent to a B&amp;M sale. Nowadays you can still find sites that don't charge tax (I think Gateway didn't charge me tax when i bought a computer there), but more likely most sites are charging tax because the IRS expects to see some tax income from the business when the sell something.

So? What did we learn today kids? Xtreme331 has waaaaaaaaaaaay too much time on his hands? or is he procrastonating (and can't spell)?

Yay!! Hurray!1 (wait, that rhymed didn't it) Anyhoo, my Gamefly games came in. I want to play some of my Sudeki right now. They all came in basically mint condition. All the inserts, box, cover art, manual it basically looks like nobody touched it, even the shipping and handling people. The disc doesn't look like it was played either. Just a slight scratch on the side of the box but still no biggie. I would just like to say to Gamefly Thank You!! May you please do another one of these sales with free shipping again and soon, definitely soon :D. I ordered Spy Fiction (PS2) on 1/10/05 and still have not received it......... however other orders I placed after this one , I've recieved........... what has everyone been doing when they don't recieve their order? I've e-mailed gamefly but they don't seem to be reponding........It doesn't look like they have any tracking numbers or anything for orders............
