I'm sick of all the flaming and fanboyish tendencies too. I'm also sick of the immense growth of the trading forum, but that's another story.

This site is called "Cheap Ass Gamer." It is NOT "Cheap Ass Fanboy."

Fanboys aren't gamers; they're just people who like to complain about games and their respective platforms.

But no amount of reasoning with them will cause them to stop acting like little children. So I'll just be sticking to the "Post Your Own Deals" forum section...where rampant fanboyism is not yet an issue, and hopefully never will be.

I'm here for the cheap games, but I like a good debate as well, if it gets annoying I simply stop paying attention to that board, plus I like to get people's opinions on certain things, especially if a game is worth buying or a non gaming item that I'm looking for a deal on.

Like I said, if it's a stupid topic that I want nothing to do with, I simply keep my nose out.

Yes I am completely tired of it, but how are we gonna stop this if we keep looking into these threads and responding...only way to quit is to just not keep posting for or against anybody in that thread. The thought of banning people because of age is not the way to go, cause no matter what, there could be someone of the age of 25+ that would act like an immature 13 y/o, and sometimes you may have a very mature 13 y/o that you could have a very decent conversation with and would not even know the age unless they mention it.
It's ok to have fun, and enjoy the site as well as the people. You want to stop flaming? Just stop replying to them, seriously, you will not die because someone insulted you, just ignore and move on.
There are times you must have your reasoning heard, fine do it, but you do not have to rely on insults to get your point across.
Will we ever get rid of these flame wars...honestly I think not, but I wish we would.

I think everyone agrees with you there. We want deals, and if possible, a good discussion about a game to get opinions.

There have just been too many people that simply say "Halo sucks" without providing anything to back it up. That adds absolutely nothing to the discussion. If it sucks, I want to hear why. On the opposite side you have people like space rover posting his usual Microsoft ass kissing trash.

Cause if you haven't noticed there is a problem here about tons of topics being posted on the wrong boards - especially in the deal boards where off topic threads push down the deals, get in the way and don't get moved or deleted quickly. If you have paid any kind of attention (which you have not), I have only complained about the deal boards minus this topic - which I don't really care about, but thought it should get moved since it is annoying and getting in the way of other good topics.

Next time research the facts before you post stupid stuff and make yourself look like an ass. :wink:

from my experience this site will only get worse and worse and worse...the CheapyD Lord of Cheapdom isnt really prepared for this site to be popular...its sort of frustrating really because this site could be huge but without organization it will just turn into a free for all

I know there are mods here...but they seem few and also are not as active as they should be ...I am unsure what rules CheapyD has laid out for them to move topics, ban users, lock threads and such...but it seems like none and occassionally a super long thread will finally get the lock

maybe thats just me though

Even with space_rover and others, I have still found these forums to be the best for gaming advice and deals. I usually get numerous good answers to my questions and this is the only forum I have ever gotten more then 10 posts at, because I usually lurk, get annoyed, and then leave to find a different site. Here, I find that while not many people post its got good people that are willing to help. Flaming is inevitable, many people will post what they think is an "opinion" others will think its a flame. What is the difference between the two? Once that has been 100% clearly determined how can we really stop the "flaming" because opinions are important to this site and to gaming.
