Well, I recenty picked up NFL Street for $10, and I was wondering if NFL Street 2 is any better and how much better? I may wait and hopefully that GameRush will get a used copy in.....but I've been itching for a new game.
My main Q is, did they put in something similar to the Be A Legend mode from NBA Street Vol 2?
All NFL Street 1 had was the basic NFL mode (play all the NFL teams) and that doesn't really do it for me. On NBA Street 2 I played through the entire Be A Legend mode and loved it, but barely played 3 games in the vanilla NBA mode.

Yeah, I'm liking the first one....but the create a team/player is a bit cumbersome. It took me a while just to make my players look different. I wish there was an AutoMode. Plus, you had to beat all 4 teams at once I believe to move on....I could be wrong on that though, only played it sparingly.

I got NFL Street 2 for PS2 and its really good and great if you liked the first one like myself. It has something like be a legend mode. Rent it and if you like it, buy it

Also when you create a player, you can actually edit their face and not just a bunch of generic ones to pick from, create a character is much better this year

rented it on xbox and hated the controls on it with a passion. Probably better control scheme on the ps2.

I've been trying to rent it but i can't catch it in anywhere.
I didn't really like the first one, i'd rather play realistic football than street football anyday.

Eh.. time to get over that.
I played it at GameCrazy and hated it.
And to think.. they're expanding this year.. with Fifa Street.
Stop looking at me funny. I'm not kidding.

NFL Street 2 doesn't make the huge from like NBA Street did in its 2nd game...oh well.
NBA Street V3 and Fifa Street are due soon....what about some street hockey? Or baseball? That would kick ass. I heard next on EA's list is Tiger Woods Street....

ill be picking up nfl street 2 soon enough 'cause i loved 1...as for nba street, i loved that too, so i bought 2 and it was way too repetitive for my likings....and, as for fifa street, i will be buying that sooner or later without a doubt....im not sure why its catching heat from above
I didn't like NFL Street that much - it felt like the computer was playing for you, if you know what I mean.

I'm planning on buying all their games used. But does Burnout mean anything to you? Not even the die hard EA hater can pass up Burnout 3.
On topic: Never played NFL Street, but I heard part DUH is a medicore improvement over the first.

To me those letters mean the most enjoyable sports games that money can buy.
Only referring to REAL sports series: Madden, NCAA College Football, NBA Live, March Madness College Basketball, MVP Baseball and thats it.

That's the one thing I truly disliked of the first is that creating a team was difficult and that you had to defeat all 4 teams at once to move on. I'm not even sure you could save in between. The controls of the first on PS2 felt sort of weird, they just didn't jive like they did with NBA Street 1/2.

Its not different. Both are published by EA. Both have EA's name on them. You can't boycott SOME of their games. Either you buy their games or you don't. You can't be half-assed about that.

Ahh you gotta love the knee jerk reaction a few weeks ago about boycotts. Now as people realize that not ALL EA games are crap (Burnout 3 was one of the really stand out games of the past year imo) they are softening on their "boycott".
Hell I was a little pissed about the NFL license thing but you know what I did when Best Buy had Madden on sale for $20 a week later? I went right out with my GGC and picked it up and, having played it between 12-15 hours now, don't regret a single penny of the $15 I spent.

well not buying burnout 3 would do nothing for my cause. EA is trying to make money of the fact that new nfl games HAVE to be bought through them. There sales of burnout 3 have nothing to do with the profit they will make of nfl license

Well, I rented NFL Street 2 today. I like it, but it's very similiar to part 1. It's better because it has more options...but nothing great. I will wait to get it when it becomes cheap....maybe with a trade in deal at GameRush...I can unload the first one.
