I'm not sure if this applies to the copies on the newstands or the freebie subscriptions, but this came in the mail today and tucked inside a feature on Live was a free trial!
Almost all Xbox Live games come with the 2 free months, so unless you want Xbox Live without XBL compatible games, it's almost pointless. :p

You mean besides the fact that there are live enabled demos on this disc for crimson skies and return to castle wolfenstein. That would help on those. Plus it would help get added content for games for free :)

What else is on the disc? Can you play the CS demo single player or is it online only?

Basically i got this yesterday and had a very short time with it until i left for work today.
It had that 2 months live free card and a coupon for "4 games for $49.99 twards fable pre-order".
Anyways, the disk has demos for 007, the suffering (creepy) and a couple of others. They have Live enabled emos for Crimson Skies and Wolfenstein. I only had time to try out wolfenstein, which is only one map.
There are a couple of veideo features including one with interviews and apparently clips of Halo 2...and no, i have not watched it yet

Wshak, do you subscribe to OXM?
I bought the February issue at the store today and I can't find a 2 month Live trial. Where would it be located if it was in it?

If any of you guys don't need your free trial, could I please have it? I actually have a subscription to the Official Xbox Magazine, but I still haven't received a single issue (the subscription was ordered on November 18, 2003), and I'm not sure which issue will be my first (possibly not the February issue). I also bought Burnout 2: Point of Impact--Director's Cut, which should have had the Live offer in it, but it didn't have the offer. So if any of you have a spare free trial code, it'd be great if you could share it with me :).

^^ only NEW LIVE enabled games will have it. It started around the time the first XSN sports came out... Maybe Fever didn't have it, but Im pretty sure Top Spin, Links, Amped, etc. have it. My copies of DDR:Ultramix and PGR2 both have them also. If you don't have ANY of those LIVE games, you should be ashamed and go pick up PGR2 now ;)

Actually, you can view all of the Xbox games that are supposed to come with the Xbox Live 2-month Free Trial here (http://www.xbox.com/en-US/live/about/About-FreeTrialOffer.htm). I waited as long as possible before buying Burnout 2: Point of Impact--Director's Cut since I knew that the copies of the game on the shelf at the time the list came out probably wouldn't include the offer. However, I never saw a copy that came with the offer, even after waiting a few months. I don't have any of those LIVE games, but I am not ashamed :). As you probably know, we have limited money to spend. I have both a GameCube and Xbox. That means that I have even more games to choose from; as it is, I get only the best games (there are a few exceptions here and there, though.) So again, I beg any of you to give me your code (if any of you don't need it.)

Pokemorpher1, I'm looking to trade mine for one of those $4.99 cheap ass games from the past few months - mainly Robocop for Xbox from EB, new or used, doesn't matter. I'd be willing to consider other offers tho.
