Found this at bamf.
Counter-Strike 2D is a great top-down 2D version of the very popular multiplayer game Counter-Strike. It is playable both online or offline ( with bots ) and contains a large selection of maps. There is even a built-in map editor, giving the game even more replay value.
I just downloaded the 5mb file and played three or four games on the net so far. I have a 56k connection and the game plays great. We should make a CAG only server and play :)

Just played some matches and it's pretty good. Only thing that would make it better is if there were more people and servers.

There was, and it wasn't really fun then. Lots of bugs online.. people shooting through boxes and it makes it a lot less fun when you can see around corners. CS 1.6 came out, then the Source beta, then HL2/CS:S for everyone.. no one plays this anymore.
Another great game to find, if you get a chance, is called "Soldat". Think of Team Fortress as a 2D sidescroller.. and that's Soldat. For a link, just google it.

We need to set up a date and time to run a CAG server. Any night after 10:30 CST is fine for me.

It keeps kicking me out... I play it for a little, then there's something that happens, some memory error, then the program shuts down.

That sucks, only thing that ever happens to me is just disconnects.

I'm not for sure what would help fix your problem. I will create a new server called CAG and the pass will be 12. Game is up right now.

it's fun as hell, got it before i ever got the real CS.
Playing bots is kinda fun while sitting in class with no internet.
